2007 Tahoe will not start.

This is likely a problem with the passlock 2 system created by gm which has had many complaints but never has been recalled. Place key in ignition, turn to ON Position. (do not start). Leave in ON position for Exactly 10 minutes. The light will shut off, Immediately start the vehicle once the light is off.

This may be of some help:
this year model is known to have inaccurate fuel gauge readings at 1/4 tank or less
also parking on hills may require turning key all the way to run, then back off then to run-repeating this about 3-5 times to prime the fuel lines before starting.

The starter maybe bad,next time it does this tap on the starter when trying to start it.

open the rear door..the jack gonna be right or left wall..open out door compartment on the wall and you will see the jack and the tire wrench...connect the wrench together and it gonna be like 4 feet long...look under the truck on the rear and there you will see the tire...put the long wrench in the hole next to lic plate and start turn counterclockwise and the tire will come down..good.luck

Check the radio fuse. As unusual as it seems, GM has started having the radio (even though not turned on) generate the chimes and turn signal sounds. If the radio fails, all the chimes fail too.

This applies to other vehicles besides the HHR. My 2003 Silverado had the door chimes fade down so I could barely hear them. The fix was to replace the radio (under warranty, fortunately...).

turn 4x4 switch off put vehicle in neutral then put vehicle in reverse and drive in reverse a couple of feet the put it into drive and it should come off of 4x4 if not then repeat until it comes off

when you turn off the radio and subs does the car start?

do other things work in the car like headlights indicators brake lights

i sugest you turn off the radio and start car or unplug the subs from the battery and try

I'm assuming that by turning over, you mean that the engine fails to turn with the starter . Check your battery for 12v and make sure all connections are clean and secure. If battery has less than 12v charge it and check the charging system after re-starting. Lights and radio do not pull the same amperage as the starter and may not tell you much about battery condition. If you have full battery voltage, check the starter for 12v at the battery connection and the small (trigger wire) for 12v with the key turned to start position. If you have both, likely starter has failed.

it is a 2007 vehicle so there would be no warranty on the diff
as for the cost , replacement diffs from wreckers. junk yards with the same ratio would be less that 1/2 that so I think that you are being touched in the wallet area or get a fully rebuilt diff from an accredited diff and transmission specialist shop

sounds like a throttle position sensor. or perhaps a mass air flow sensor. let me kkow [email protected]
