I got the trouble codes from a parts house but they couldn't tell me what I need to change. Trouble codes are p0700 and p0870

P0700 is Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
PO870 is Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch C Circuit

Good luck.

Check engine light remains on. Checked gas cap and fuel tank is full. Changed air filter. Please advise

check engine lights also refer to transmission problems , over heating
best answer is to have the fault codes read to determine if a sensor failure or a real expensive problem

What is causing my car to say transsmisson control problem

P0700 Transmission P01776 Ignition ****** request. P0870 Transmission fluid pressure sensor C. Your main concern is the valve body assembly this will take care of P1776. And as for the P0870 you will need the solenoid pack also. Before you decide to attempt this try a relfash of the TCM(transmission control module)

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl. The CEL came on. Had no power for a little bit. Went to autozone and it pulled code P0870. Any suggestions.

po 870 refers to transmission fluid pressure- check fluid level of trans while parked with engine running and the jeep level.- if level is ok- might be time to have filter and fluid changed

I pulled codes with a OBDII code reader and it gave me three codes. (1) P1166- Primary HO2S (No.1) Heater System Electrical. (2) PO134- O2 Sensor circut no activity detected (bank 1 Sensor 1). (3) PO845-...

You have a burned Oxygen sencer, and the transmission pressure sencer is bad also. Your heater has a bad switchover circuit. Hope this helps.

My daughter's 2002 Noen CEL came on. I retrieved a number of DTC codes that all related to the tranny. Upon the advice from an on line auto repair expert I replaced the TCS, replaced teh tranny filter and...

I am not familar with the Neon transmission. All the codes you retrieved are related to a sensor on/in the transmission. P0870 Trans Fluid Press Sensor/Switch C Circuit. If that is defective, then the other codes are related to it, P0731 & 32 1st and 2nd gear. P0700 Trans Control Sys Malfunction. Hope this helps.

Transmission Not Going into Overdrive

First check and make sure the fluid is full. The most likely cause is a failed solenoid pack. Circuit codes normally mean something electrical not mechanical has failed. The solenoid pack is on the outside of trans pretty easy to replace.
