OBD Codes have nothing to do with changing parts

Codes are to be used to diagnose that system,
component test, to find a problem

Why would you replace any vehicle part, unless you
tested it or knew it failed?

Take it to the dealer to be properly diagnosed

Track the p0340 first camshaft timing is very important and could possibly cayse your other codes,Call your local GMC dealer I think I remember a bulletin about this code.

My car is showing p0340 camshaft sensorit was replaced and car still wont start, due to a faulty fuel gauge ran car out of gas also but fuel is on the rail, NO fire, thinking I lost timing,need help

code p 0340 refers to camshaft position(CMP) sensor A bank 1--circuit malfunction===causes wiring---CMP sensor ---ECM
because it denotes bank i ( bank closest to the fire wall) did you change the correct sensor
check for wiring and harness conditions ait it may run close to the manifold and be worn through or broken at places

I have the code p0340 for slip n tcs is telling me is a sensor but it show2

I am not sure what "slip n tcs" means but on the 2005 nissan maxima the code P0340 is for the camshaft position sensor circit on bank 1, which is in the rear of the engine compartment. Code P0345 is for camshaft position on bank 2, which is in the front of the engine compartment. The images show the Cyl banks and a cam sensor.6_29_2012_3_38_07_am.gif6_29_2012_3_40_48_am.gif

No start Had Codes p0340 & p0345 both are cmp sensors. Replace both and still no start has no injector pulse and spark.

The crankshaft position sensor works in tandem with the camshaft ones, and they sometimes fail together. I've seen it written that the crankshaft one should be changed WITH the cam ones. They're kinda expensive, but the no spark/injection thing suggests that may be your issue. <!-- from fixya rte -->
