What freon goes in air condition?

This car originally contained R12, if you can find it you can use it. The other option if this has not already happened is you can convert the system from R12 to R134a, which is readily available, all auto part stores carry these kits. R12 AC fitting are threaded and R134a systems have slip on quick connect fittings.

I have a 1999 323i BMW. The AC doesnt blow cold (on cool days it blows cool temperature but not common A/C Cold Air, Hot Days it blows Warm/Hot Air). The heater blows warm air but definitely not common...

First things first.....You must have the air conditioning system hooked up to an a/c system machine and then checked for leaks and also read low and high side pressures. If there are leaks then low Freon (R134a) content and low refrigerant oil can cause the a/c system to not engage the a/c compressor which basically means you will not have proper defrost functionality nor regular air conditioning. Most shops, when working with your air conditioning, will install air conditioning dye to assist them in locating leaks and is the first step in diagnosing all a/c systems. Post the findings after thw

I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8 and the A/C is blowing warm air. I put 2 cans of freon in it and it is still blowing warm air. What should I check next?

Hi,
It sounds as though you have a compressor problem and unfortunately it's going to cost you about $35 to have a certified garage check it. However, there is something you can do, Most auto supply stores and WalMart carry the following items. Remember that if the compressor has to be replaced you're looking at a $350-$500 bill. You can do-it-yourself for the cost of supplies depending upon your level of expertise, Autozone carries the Quest/R134a recharging kit smart charge A/C diagnostic tool

2004 Toyota Sienna and the AC is blowing warm air

Well, I would check to see if the compressor under the hood is engaging and the fan turns on to the radiator when switching the a/c on.

The most common problem for a car that is 6 years old is for r134a refrigerant to leak out through o-rings.

I would get an r134a recharge kit from your local auto parts store which consists of a tube and a can of freon with oil, leak detector, and sealant to help prevent leakage.

Hope you can get 'cool' air conditioning again.

Ac not working properly

Low on R134A or condenser has a restriction
The condenser is in front of the radiator.
The R134a systems are known for not blowing as cold during idle.
