Where is the fuel pump relay located on a 2003 BMW 745 LI Series
Hello everyone, please forgive me for the question but i honestly can't seem to find the answer to it. I want to change my fuel pump relay in my 2003 745Li. If I'm not mistaking, the fuel pump relay is located in the trunk next to the battery. I did notice the green cube looking thing (fuel pump relay) in the trunk but there were two of them. Do i need to purchase two fuel pump relays? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. ??
Hi Greg-
The fuel pump is provided power by the SBSR- right side B-pillar airbag module. You can check for power and ground at the connector of the fuel pump across the 2 larger wires. The brown wire is ground. You should have battery voltage to the connector.

Hi irvj6ohn:
The 1993 and 1994 XJ6 Fuel Pump Relay is located in the trunk of the vehicle on the right hand rear side. It is light blue and black in color.
I hope this helps.

if not under the bonnet in the fuse box,, try under the steering wheel side of the dash,,,

Under the hood on the driver's side is the fuse box. Outside of the main fuse box is the relay box. It contains 3 relays. The first one on the left is the fuel pump relay per my repair guide book, closest to the front of the vehicle.

Initialize keys. Have all keys for the car with in reach. Get in car and close all doors. Put 1 key in the ignition and turn it to the key on engine off position and quickly turn it off and remove the key. With in 5 seconds press and hold the unlock button while pressing the lock button 3 times, after the 3rd press release the unlock button. If successful the door locks will lock then unlock. For the remaining keys you do not need to cycle the ignition just press the buttons as mentioned before.
