Toyota corrolla 96 died , all electrical except starter and engine work, a minute later. a it starts and runs but the same scenario will happen again.

Cheque for disconnected vacuum hoses. sometimes this happen after working around the engine, if everything looks good, start the engine press down the accelerator pedal keep the engine running about 2500 rpm for 3 minutes then let the engine idle, if the engine idle this means you need a new idle speed control motor, if the engine still dies most probable the fuel pump it's going out if you have a code reader it's possible you have some codes and this can give a good direction

Get the vehicle scanned,there is error code stored in ECM,that code will tell what part exactly to look,for:----

Bad Alternator.
After Starting or Jumping your vehicle: Remove the Negative Cable from the Battery.
If the Engine dies or runs really rough it is a bad Alternator.
The Battery Starts the Engine and runs nominal operations. The Alternator runs the Engine after it is Started by the Battery.
If the Engine does not die or runs really rough after removing the Negative Cable, then you have a malfunctioning Battery.

Your starter is fine your problem is your timing it is to advanced. Find someone to time it if you dont know how to do it. The electrical is coming from the starter not being able to turn your engine over its straining the starter which is cause a lack of voltage to all your other components

You've most likely had a blown head gasket from the beginning of the coolant leak. It's now so bad the engine won't run and has probably been severely damaged from running coolant through the oil galleys.

You'll have to transport it to a garage to get diagnostics and an estimate to determine if it's worth fixing. My guess is it's going to be very expensive.

This happens because the removal of the current to the computer or CPU gets de-programed. You may be able to solve the problem (if it comes up gain ) by disconnecting the negative cable with the engine off. Then renstalling it back after a minute.This will reprogram the computer.

You need an alternator....well unless your belt came off or got very loose. The truck continued to drive because the battery had enough juice left to run the ignition system, but after you shut it off there was no where near enough to turn the engine over or possibly even run the starter. The battery will have to be charged and a new alternator installed.

i would check your ignition system. you would need a meter for this but look for broke or loose connections. if it was a fuel problem i dont think it would just start up after 20 minutes. or you might try your ignition switch. if its shorting or something then ya well it would cut your engine off real quick
