There is a wax you can buy to rub around the rubber surround where the door and windows contact. I don't remember where i got my last stick from but I would think a candle would work too.
You are trying to stop the glass/frame sticking together. So, rub wax on them and see if this helps. The windows are supposed to drop slightly when you pull on the door handle. If they don't, it usually means the window module has lost it's position memory.
Continue to hold the window switch down for 5 seconds after it reaches it's lower limit. Do the same for fully up position....this sets the modules limits memory and windows should drop as handle pulled to open the door..
the bootlid lock has two positions left/centre and right/centre.try turning one way to determine which way operates with the central locking...(have you found the key over windows down/up feature yet)and theres more........
some controllers have a small screw holding them together but most just snap together and have to be pried apart with a small flat head screw driver and inside is the small watch battery.
Yes it's fine to drive with the service light on BUT it will need a service other wise you could end up with costly repairs due to engine bein neglected
