Check Fuel Pressure anyway

Have a gauge on it when the motor runs or when your on the street
Tie the gauge to a wiper so you can see it

Have to find out what your loosing when it shuts off

Fuel
Spark

SOURCE: fuel problem

I had the same problem with my 99 Subaru Forester and it was caused by oil leaking and getting into the spark plugs. We only needed to remove & clean one of the plugs and then we were running smoothly again. Very well could not be what your problem is but it's worth a shot mentioning.

The MAF sensor is just about dead. Replace it and it should be fine again.

I have a1993 nissan maxima that i use daily to get around it runs great,i'm very happy with it ,but i have the red light on dashboard when i start it up when its cold out and it goes out after10 mins of...

Give yourself extra time to get to work. Then start your car and allow it to sit for 5 minutes to make sure that the engine is ready to work. This means that it is warmed up, everything has been lubricated.

What light is it? You didn't say, and every light is labeled, so can you enlighten, (pun intended), me?

You might be able to look it up on YouTube, never know.

Good luck.

Location of a o2 sensor 2001 nissan maxima

bank 1 refers to the side of the engine that #1 cylinder is on , and sensor 2 refers to downstream , after the catalytic converter. , this link shows bank 1 on a 2001 nissan maxima V6 being on the firewall side . if you had a 4 cylinder it would be downstream after the catalytic converter .

Every time it rains, and my truck sits in the rain for an extended period of time, when I go to drive somewhere, a few minutes down the road the truck starts to stutter and shake, or **** either when I'm...

I had a 93 Nissan that had a similar intermittent problem running when wet, humid or after sitting. Usually it would start fine and run well most of the time, but stutter, shake or die. It sometimes had low power and got terrible highway mileage even though it was a 4 cyl. 5 spd. When it was dry and not humid, it ran like it was new. I thought it was the ignition wires and changed them with no results. 2 Nissan dealers said everything was fine--it never acted up when they had it. I found a web site that had Nissan technical service bulletins and found one that described the problem--there's a connector in the wiring that needs replacing. It's wrapped in black tape and is a crimp connection. Dealers told me that couldn't be the problem (it was still under warranty), so I took the truck and bulletin to a non-Nissan mechanic. Within an hour he found the connection, replaced it, and the truck ran perfect after that. Sorry but I don't have the technical service bulletin anymore. I may have found it under a different year . .Good luck.

My nissan maxima stalls

Every answer here is wrong. This has been driving people nuts for 15 years. The problem is the engine wiring harness which has a bend going past the right strut tower, Nissan had a service bulletin on this in September of 1999, Google it, it's in pdf.
