Best thing to do is go to Auto Zone and have the car scanned for any DTC codes, There are just to many things that can be causing your engine to stutter on high RPM'S. Keep me posted and we can go from there, If your running a performance oiled air filter like K&N, buy some MAF sensor cleaner and give it a good cleaning. Also check your TPS for damaged wire or a faulty TPS it self. Good luck, be glad to help.

Car idles little rough but when put in gear really starts running lot rougher like wants cut out seam to start doing this after I typed off fuel tank

hate to tell you this but sounds like you filled up with bad gas , gas contains methanol , and ethanol both of these are types of alcohol , alcohol absorbs moisture (water) at a rate of 1oz per hour depending on the percentage of alcohol in the fuel or octane rating if the fuel sits in the tank at a station the longer it sits the badder it gets, to fix this you can do a few things, you can go to a local parts store purchase a fuel filter, and a good octane booster and fuel additive, pour both the fuel additive and booster in the tank and change your fuel filter after you burn that tank of gas.or you can find a repair shop that uses a decarbonization process to clean your fuel system, unless your vehicle is running bad enough where you can't drive it, then you need to drain your tank take it out of the car clean it out with rags and put fresh fuel back in it also replacing the fuel filter

When driving and you push the gas to go it chugs like it is running out of gas. If you let off the gas it runs fine until you have to push the gas again. We have changed out the fuel filter and took it...

Replace your MAF sensor in the air ducting between the air filter box and the throttle body. If the mass air flow sensor is in trouble it can cause such issues. I also suspect that you have a "check engine light" on. Have this scanned by any local auto parts store for free and let me know the code.

Put gas in the truck and the problem started the engine stutters when accelerating clears up once speed is reached. What should I check for?

you may have got some dirty fuel last time you filled the tank, if the vehicle was OK before you put the gas in it seems likely this could be the cause,if so the fuel tank will have to be drained & cleaned, filters changed, fuel lines cleaned out & injectors (if it has injectors) this problem is a real PITA (Pain In The ***).....hope this helps.....cheers

Water in gas tank

I would get some fresh gas, about 2 gallons in the tank, a couple cans of dry gas, to soak up the water, and get that thing fired up and drive it till it is empty. Then put in some fresh gas, and another can of dry gas, by then , you should have a nice clean engine and a clean tank. If you have to pull the air horn off and squirt some fuel into the throttle, do it, just to get it going. Once it starts, don't let it quit if you can help it, keep revving it and drive it. It will sput and cough bu it should be ok. The fuel pump should be fine and the filter will clean itself out of the water. Hope this helps.

My Audi A4 2000 TDI year 2005 has run on two tanks of Bio fuel recently and it hasn't recovered... started stuttering. Fuel system has been flushed out, air flow mand air flow meter has been changed but...

Audi 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI engines with pump-nozzle injection system, (year 2005 included), don't have permission to run with Bio fuel !!!
First you must replace fuel filter, interflow a quality Diesel additive (for 60 liters Diesel fuel dosage) fill up tank with Diesel fuel and run at least 300 km on highway at 3000-3500 rpm in 4-th gear.
I recommend you Foerch Diesel Reiniger System additive! I use this additive from 3 years ago and is certified on Audi TDI engines!

Hi, I have a 2006 Altima with 31,500 miles. Recently, the engine start shaking when car is Idle but I still feel the shake when driving or at red lights. My second problem is a weird loud (humming) noise...

You don't need to change the spark plugs since it has only 31.5 K. The plugs should last 60K. There is a an adjustment at the gas cable end at engine to increase the idle a little bit. You can increase rpm at idle to 600 RPM. Since your RPM at idle is low that why it is shaking at idle, red lights. Let me know it it is shaking at high speed ( 2500 RPM)
