i think you may have a fault with the new unit. if one source works and one doesn't, it sounds like an internal fault and i recommend that you return the unit for an exchange
if you can remove the 6 disc unit you will find a really small reset button you will have to use a really fine pointed screwdriver this should eject the cd cartridge just check the player hasnt placed one of your cds in the same slot as another .
Yea i had the same exact year liberty and the same 6 cd player...chrysler cd players just straight up ****...i would just replace the cd player...it probly shot...and if not...you should anyways because its just gunna be one problem after another.
Well if you didn't already know all jeep chrysler dodge factory cd players don't work very well. I have sprayed high pressure air into mine and it has help but may not solve the problem permanently. I would suggest buying a new cd player. sorry
From Tiburon owners manual: Er6 - DISC ERROR - CHECK IF THE DISC IS INSERTED CORRECTLY IN THE CD PLAYER. MAKE SURE THE DISC IS NOT SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED.
BE SURE THE CD THAT CAUSED THE PROB DIDNT HAVE ANY TYPE OF STICK ON LABEL THAT MAY OF COME OFF INSIDE, ALSO IVE SEEN CHILDREN PUT COINS IN THE CD SLOT IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. MAY WANT TO TRY A CD LENS CLEANING DISK PROB FIND AT RADIO SHACK OR BEST BUY TYPE STORE.
