NO ENGINE TOLD MINE IS 3.8L ENGINE.
MINE FAILED LIKE THIS. 2008, WANGLER 2DR 4WD X BODY

KEEP THE RAD FULL (AM COLD ENGINE FULL) CHECK EVERY DAY TO BE SURE UNTIL ENGINE STOPS EATING COOLANT 50%AF

THE SIDE BOTTLE KEEP IT 1/2 FULL ALL THE TIMES, COLD. FILL IT NOW. KEEP IT THERE.
IT GOES HIGHER HOT, ALL DO. let it and be happy.

THE PUMP IS SUPER RELIABLE BUT NOT THE SILLY GASKET

AND WORSE THE PLACE IT LEAKS IS WHERE YOU CAN NOT SEE.
LOVES TO LEAK ONLY HOT AND MOVING, UNDER LOAD.

GO HERE CLICK TO ZOOM SEE WHY HERE.

No visible leaks--- BUT--- you see some coolant
around the intake !!!!?

Your going to have to realize that the water pump
can leak, the intake may leak & a head gasket or
radiator,hoses, etc can leak

We can not do the checking & guessing for you

SOURCE: just replaced the water pump,

Check to see if the thermostat is installed correctly there is a certain way it goes the cooling system. Since you have had a lot of parts replaced could have air trapped in system this can cause overheating as well. Drain radiator leave cap of and start motor add water slowly until radiator is at the level recommended. Does car have white smoke comming out exhuast pipe this would be good indication of a blown head gasket. Hope this helps

SOURCE: 1999 Gr Jeep Cherokee-antifreeze issue

how often does the warning comes on doing the week or in two weeks? if it was a one time thing or this takes place every 3-5 months i wouldn't worry about it. i will make sure that the radiator cap is on tight. you said that all hose seem to be in good condition i would check the radiator where the cooling fan covers the fins and the water pump because it has a warn hole at the base that will seep out antifreeze when the inside seals are going bad these will cause the smell also.

SOURCE: water leak to floorboard on drivers side. Carpet

It it happens when it is raining. This seems to be a common problem with Vehicles.

There is a seal on the passenger side Hood Hinge area. If this seal is cracked or broken or missing you will get water in the car every time it rains.
The water runs down the windshield in to the Hing area under the Hood.

You may need to take the hood off to get to the seal. First pour water over the area, if it comes in the car there is your problem.

You can seal it with any water proof silicone sealer .

If it is not visibly leaking oil - the exhaust should be smoking. If the smoke comes out when you lift off your foot and when you start frost thing in the day, it could be valve stem seals leaking. If it smokes while you drive normally your rings need replacing.

I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport and have had to replace the fan motor switch 3 times. After the first 2 replacements it worked great for a couple years. This time the replacement only lasted a few weeks....

Likely either you have an intermittent short in the wiring, or, most likely, the blower motor itself is drawing too much amperage and is overloading the system. This can also happen if the blower motor or dash ground is not well connected or corroded.

Loss of oil over time

Have you tried running conventional oil and see how much it burns? If it is truely burning that much oil, you have a problem with the rings not seating, or PCV system sucking in too much oil. If it doesn't burn that much with conventional oil, I would stick with that. If it does, you have a bad motor issue.

You may want to check with factory recalls. There was a letter sent to 2007 owners about a computer upgrade to solve loss of sudden power along with some ABS issues.

92 Jeep Wrangler MAP sensor bad?

This may not be your MAP but your Catlettic Converter. I also own a 92 Wrangler and had some of the same issues. My issue was actually a couple of things but they all came from a crack in my exhaust headder.

You may want to check your exhaust headder for cracks. If there is even a small one, (which are VERY common w/ YJ's) than your O2 sensor is thinking that the engine is running too lean. Therefor telling the fuel pump and injectors to dump more fuel into the engine. Well, truth is your not running too lean, in fact, you begin running too ritch.

The unburned fuel that is now comming out through your exhaust collects on the porslen screen inside your catalettic converter where it burns off, causing the screen to melt together. Resulting in a clogged cat.

The only way to fix this is to replace the ehaust headder (welding the crack will not work) and replacing the cat. This would explane your loss in gas mileage and power, due to over back pressure. The ticking sounds like the back pressure working on your valves.

Hopefully I'm wrong and this is not your issue because it is a very expencive repare. You're looking at around 350.00 to 500.00 just for a good headder and atleast 250.00 for the cat. However, an easy way to test this is to take a flash light and have a good look at your headder anywhere there are joints where pipes come together. Look for black, ashy spots above and around the joint. If you see this anywhere then I hate to tell you but this mite just be your problem.
