Most likely your brake light switch located on brake pedal. Also check fuses.

I have 1997 chevy c1500. The brake lights work. The reverse lights don't work. I replaced the bulbs, not the problem. I checked the fuse, not the problem. What else can I do to fix this problem??

Do you have power coming out of the reverse circuit on the neutral safety switch ? Or the reverse switch if the truck has a manual trans ?

The headlights lights are working but the brake lights aren't. I suspect a bad fuse but don't have an owners manual, so I need a fuse panel diagram for a 1996 Chevy C1500. Got one?

no, sorry . but i do have a suggestion that might help. do the taillights work? if so check the brake light switch on the brake pedal. also , does the high mount light work and not the rear ones? if so you may want to check the turn signal switch to make sure there is voltage on that circuit.

My reverse lights and brake lights dont work on my 97 c1500. the signal work and when i turn on my headlights the tail lights come on but still no brake or reverse lights

It sounds like you have two separate switch problems, brake light switch located at the top of the brake pedal arm, loose or broke, and the back-up light switch located on transmission or linkage depending on transmission type. When asking questions always give as much info as possible.

I have 1995 chevy 3500 truck my flashers and my brake lights wont work, turn lights do work and running lights work

Flasher module (under dash by left leg); possible fuse in panel driver side dash by door; possible relay in power center under hood on driver side by brake booster.

1997 3rd brake cargo light

white wire makes the light come on with dome lights, orange wire should be constant power, black is ground and blue w/white should go directly to the brake light switch, both white should be the same connection if problems let me know
