Why is Dash board Brake warning light (IP) on and Battery light on

CHECK OR HAVE SOMEONE CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL, BE SURE PARKING BRAKE IS NOT ON!

What brake are you talking about? The emergency brake or the brake pedal. Warning lights only come on when 1, there is a leak ing the system while driving and you loose pressure, 2. upon starting the vehicle as a bulb check, 3. When you apply the emergency brake. Have the brake switch on the pedal and emergency brake checked also check the bulb. If the bulb lit upon startup, it is probably the switch. Are you referring to warning lights on the dash board? The flashing battery light may mean you have a charging problem and the flashing brake light may mean you need break fluid or have an other brake issue. Take it to a service station or the dealer. Or read the owners manual.

Kia Sorento parking brake or brake fluid dash warning light - this light is illuminated when the park brake is applied, the warning light should go out when the parking brake is released. If the light does not go out it indicates that the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low and you need to pull over and top up at your first opportunity.

1-check parking brakes not applied
2-check brake fluid
3-if it is too low have the brakes checked they might be wearing out it doesn't mean you have a leak but when the brakes wear out the become thin causing the caliber piston to push out more lowering the oil level in the reservoir

Yes it may be the wires are shorting or its actually the problem with instrument cluster.
Also get the vehicle scanned for any error codes stored in computer this will confirm whether is short circuit issue or actual problem:------

to clear the code disconnect the battery, you could have a bad brake lite swich, its under the dash by the brake pedal

nope,it has to go back to a dealer(the computer is too expensive for a diy mech)they will reset it IF GENUINE parts have been used, as sensors are inbuilt into the pads.

Check your brake fluid level first. If it is fine then you probably have a bad abs brake sensor.

brake fluid low, or brake pads need replacing.
