SOURCE: whinning noise increases around drive belt area when accelerating

You may still have air in system if it got too low. make sure fluid is up & move slow & crank wheels back & forth all the way one way, then the other, and repeat 5 or 6 times or until it quiets down. Check fluid every so often while doing it. Has been known to take 10-20 times but it should eventually go away, unless some damage was done by being too low, too long, but lets not go there yet.

SOURCE: 1995 chevy silverado making a whinning noise

Sounds like it's starving for fluid. The noise you hear is probably a clogged filter. It it's been going on for a long period of time, you may have trans damage. I would recommend changing the fluid and filter and add some Lucas trans additive. I'm not much on additives but this stuff works. Hope this helps. Phil

check for p/s leaks, if no leaks replace pump, raise front wheels off ground and turn steering wheel lock to lock until no air bubbles from p/s fluid before starting engine

SOURCE: NEED 2007 CHEVY MALIBU RADIO CODE

I just got the code for my radio by calling 1-800-537-5140 and choosing the option for my vehicle make. 1 for chevrolet. then i entered 106010 for the customer # and then entered my serial # from the stereo and it gave me a lock code for free. Now i am just trying to figure out how to enter it since my manual tells me to take it to the dealership. Now that you have your 4 to 6 digit code, you can enter it by following the these steps. 1. Make sure your ignition is in the "on" position, but no started. 2. Press/Hold the "HR" button to set the first 2 or 3 numbers. 3. Press/Hold the "Min" button to set the next 2/3 numbers. 4. Press the AM/FM button one time. "SEC" should be displayed. You can now turn the radio on. Good luck!

SOURCE: 1997 s10 2 wheel drive truck. 4.3L v6 makes a loud

Your noise sounds like it is power train related,If you have eliminated the engine,Since it doesn't make the noise while moving and in neutral.
It sounds like a universal joint in the drive shaft.Do you notice a vibration
along with the noise?

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu and today I change the filter and oil , and it still marking change oil sign.

Turn the key on (do not start the engine) ,now depress the gas pedal to the floor 3 times, now turn the key off. Now start the car and see if the light is off. If not, just try it again.

Grinding when I drive my 1999 malibu its coming from the front driver side

I need more information, but if it sounds like its coming from outside and the noise changes by depressing the brake pedal your front brakes are most likely worn down past the "screemer" and your hearing metal to metal.
It sure sounds the front wheels need to be removed for an inspection.
