The problem seems to escalate and be more frequent. It's very random. Some days the van drives perfect and some days it's almost impossible to drive it.
My first question is - is the check engine light on? If it is you should have trouble codes stored in the computer that would help direct you to what you should test.
If not, it may be tough to figure out until the problem is constant. Most anything electrical can cause the symptom you describe. Heat, moisture, and fatigue can play a role in the problem.
Normally no check engine light. In som occasions error code P0340. Have replaced the Camshaft Position Sensor and the van keeps having the problem.
Well the circuit includes the wiring between the sensor and the computer, so it could be something in the harness or the junction. Especially if moisture is playing a role. it could be something mechanical with the cam or timing chain too.

Try replacing the fuel filter also Has it had a tune up? they need to have the plugs replaced at 100,000 if the fuel filter does not work then the most probable cause is the fuel pump is losing pressure when hot. The pump warms up and the check valve fails to close all the way allowing a now fuel or fuel starvation.

clean the MAF sensor first and also add some Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner to 1/4 tank of gas. You may have a dirty MAF or a partially plugged injector.

You need the dealer to scan the Body control module while this is happening, i think you have a defective door ajar switch here.
