Hi there.
It sounds like you have a bad connection somewere behind the dash board or on the battery connection box under the bonnet,a loose connection is all it takes.

I fix a lot of clusters. Most of the time it is just a bad connection at the plug. Since you 3 unrelated things, I would guess at this is your problem. Moist bezels around the dash just pop off. You'll have to remove the kick panel under the steering wheel fist, it has screws on the bottom. Just look at the bezels and see if you find any screws

I have a BMW 320 CI SPORT, but fuel gauge is not working even when is fully tank. I don't know what is wrong. The amber light is constantly on. The fuel tank is not reading Please help with any suggestions

lift out the rear seat and remove the fuel pump and gauge unit. Cover the tank with a piece of plastic and tape and tape to stop fumes escaping. See if the float is still there. Check the follower on the level resistor. If the resister strip is black, try to gently clean it with a pencil eraser. Swing the arm up and down and see if your gauge moves

Hi, i have a 2005 bmw x5 and the speedo and fuel consumption gauge are not working. all other instruments are working. thanks

could just be the sensors so check them out with a automotive meter for feed to the tank gauge and then jack car up read for a low voltage output from the speed sensor and if they have power and appear to work then its a new speedo head --- ouch--- expensive

I've got a 1991 BMW 525i which has done 253,000 km. It's been a good car but, the instrument panel on the dashboard has gone silly over the past couple of weeks. When I first start the car in the morning,...

this is just a rough guess, but i think it would be the battery or the alternator. Some part store have testers that they will check both for free.

No movement of speedo gauge on 1999 5 series BMW whilst moving.

check the speed sensor on the gear box or it will be inside the cluster.

Probably the alternator but I'd check it to be sure first. Many auto parts stores will check you whole charging system for free so call around.

thanks.

The gauges have stopped working ? Fuse under dash seems to be OK ?

Behind the dash is what they call a constant voltage regulator. It controls the guages. It's small and located behind the dash near speedo.
