Fog lights not working on 2006 Nissan Maxima

The most likely cause is a 'short' in the wiring. Remove the light fitting and take a good look at the connections on the actual light fitting. Look for dirty or damaged parts. Check the wires and the connector blocks are clean, shiny and are not damaged. Then check the light fitting itself for damage. Check the seal where the light fitting fits against the bodywork. If moisture or water is getting past it can affect the lights.

2010 HHR I INSTALLED FOG LAMPS AND A SWITCH. WHEN I DID THIS I BLEW A FUSE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND IT SAYS===SERVICES===POWER STEERING====TRACTION CONTROL===AND IT WON'T SHIFT OUT OF LOW GEAR.

What fuse blew ? What did you hook up to for battery power for the fog lamps ? What aftermarket fog lamps ? Hope you know you can't just hook up aftermarket stuff just any old where . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop. Let them see what you did wrong .

Signal lights dont work and want to know where the fog light switch is at

With the switch in sidelight or dip

position, pull the switch to its first

position to turn on the front fog lights.

Pushing the switch in or turning it to OFF
or AUTO will turn off the front fog lights (this is for the front)

With the switch in any position except

HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE BULBS OF THE FOG LIGHTS?

The fog lights on most vehicles sit directly underneath the headlight bulbs. The ballast and wiring work just like the headlights, so changing them takes not much time. The procedure to change the fog light is as follows:-- 1) Open the hood and reach down underneath the headlights to unplug the electrical plug from the fog light assembly. Squeeze the top of the release tab and pull the connection off the bulb's ballast. 2)Turn the fog light counterclockwise to remove it from the fog light housing. 3)Install the new fog light bulb. Then connect electrical plugs properly. 4) Test the fog lights by turning it ON. Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

My headlights on bright and fog light is not working. I have changed the bulbs and they still don't work. The fuses seem to look okay. What else should I look for? Do they have another fuse or circut fuse...

Most fog lights turn off when you put your brights on. Check their operation in normal mode first, if they turn off when you turn your brights on... this is normal.

To disable this you need the wiring diagram for your car, you will have to cut 1 wire to be able to have all your lights on at the same time.

1st time install of OEM fog lights into a 1999 Mercury Cougar?

Look under the dash near where the headlamp switch mounts and if yours is equipped you should see I think it is a blue 4 pin connector with the following wire colors OG,OG/WH,OG/GN,BK.
This is for the fog lamp relay. If yours has this connector then you will need to purchase a relay ford part number F6RZ-14N089-AA should list for about $10.
