My transmission has been making kinda loud noises when i speed up quickly.like a loud jolt, seems to do it only when i accelerate quickly.it makes several of these jolts until it gets up to speed. when i take off from a stop at a normal pace its fine and i don't hear anything.also sometimes does not change out of gear like it should when i drive normal. i took it to one trans. specialist so far and he said it could be a chain relating to the trans. or possibly more. if its something to do with the chain he said it could be approx $600. thanks for any advice you can give me. again it is a 95 lesabre has 160,000 miles.

Good you changed the oil. Keep an eye on it. It should stay a nice clear color for about a thousand miles. Sounds like a lifter is bad. Good idea to change them all if you change one. If it doesn't get worse, and doesn't cause any other problems, some people just live with it.
Get the engine mounts checked. A bad mount may allow part of the engine to lie on a body or frame part, allowing engine vibrations to become very loud. Torquing of the engine (under load) can cause the same type problems.
Yes, I would get the transmission checked it sounds like it maybe getting ready to go out. Take the dipstick out & smell the fluid to see if it smells burnt...Hope this helps..
