Envoy/Trailblazer/Ranier/Ascender vehicles do have a fuel filter. Mine Envoy XL, 6 cyl.) is on driver's side, inside chassis under passenger door.

How to replace fuel filter on 2005 GMC Envoy

First check to see if you have a fuel filter. It will be located between tank and engine. Apparently, some Envoys do not have a filter, just a screen mounted on underside of fuel pump which is in fuel tank.

2005 GMC envoy XL won't start It seems like its not getting gas. I turned the key on and pushed the gas pedal to the floor and nothing it won't start its not the fuel pump its fine

First, do not push the gas pedal at all when starting. There are many things that can cause a no start. A scan tool needs to be hooked up to see if there are any fault codes detected. This problem needs to be diagnosed by a trained mechanic.

Gas gauge problems

Common problem on the 03-06 Envoy instrument clusters for the fuel gauge to go out. It's usually caused by one of two main problems, either the stepper motor on the cluster's circuit board is going out or the sending unit on the fuel pump is going out. Check out this blog post about the problem - Envoy fuel gauge problems

I start my suv and it dies. If I start it a second time it will continue running and I can drive it. I have changed gas stations and added a fuel injector cleaner, but nothing works. It has 72563 mi

It seems that there is a delay in fuel delivery to the engine. Check the fuel filter, the most common problem for fuel delivery. Hope this helps . Moe

2006 GMC Envoy XL gas gauge reads empty after filling, then slowly moves up after driving but will continue to lose pressure until it reads empty and the light is on, then the check engine light came...

Sending unit. Its all one unit including fuel pump, float, ect. The check engine light is because of the high or low resistance in the unit. Let me know if you have already fixed.. You have to drop the tank to get to it also.
