1993 Buick Lesabre Limited A/C problem

Typical issue, or so I thought. Automatic Climate control, Blower motor starting blowing at high speed only and continued running when car was shut off. Resistor issue of course. I replaced the Blower motor control module with Advance part# RU1004. Full control of blower was restored, but the A/C compressor does not engage. System is fully charged and was working perfectly prior to blower issue. Fuses are all good. I have not checked to see if there is voltage to the compressor, my guess is no since it's not running. What am I missing here, could there be a relay that is out, does the power module do more than power the blower. Module I replaced was Delco part# 16173860

Appreciate some direction,
Robert

Ah simplest things first, I disconnected the negative battery
terminal for 20+ seconds and the compressor still did not engage.
I ran through the control setting, defrost - heat - econ etc. Back to
auto and ran the temp setting up and down, nothing happening there but
blowing air which is what I set out to repair and successfully sorta.
I'll probably replace the low side switch tomorrow after work and see
if that results in any change. Thanks for the advice but keep
    those gears turning.

    Much Appreciative,

    Robert

The ac on my 2005 Buick lacrosse is tripping. When I turn for knob it blows at a whisper then slightly catches up or not at all. Sometimes it only blows when I'm doing at least 45 mph. Other times I turn...

Does it have manual or automatic climate control . Do you know ? It's probably the blower motor control processor . electronically controlled . Your vehicle is the same as this GMC

Where is the fan(blower control module) located on a 1993 Buick LaSabre the fan motor runs on high all the time even with the key off. this car has the automatic A/C-heater system

The blower control module is located under the hood along the firewall. It is about a foot from the blower motor.(more towards the passenger side) It is harder to see as the relay center is directly above it.

My 1993 buick lesabre is sending voltage to the heater/ac fan motor but no current. what's going on? we thought it was the fan motor, but the new one won't work either.

it helps to tell what a/s system you have, Dual Zone, or not. if the motor has voltage AND ground, it has to work, or its bad. The purple wire is power, the black is ground. If it is Dual Zone, the blower control module regulates blower speed, and could be bad.

Climate control varible speed fan not working

According to the schematics on your vehicle, it has a "Blower motor control processor" either built in to your controls, or in line between your controls and blower motor. Yo may get real lucky and find some dirty connections in that area, and get away with cleaning & re-connecting, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. You may end up replacing the processor, as it regulates fan/blower speed.
