SOURCE: 1991 chevy g20. 5.7l v8. air conditioning does not work. the blower and switches seem to work fine but it does not cool and only blows out of defrosters.

Blowing out of the defrost is a vacuum problem. You have a leak between the motor and the heater controls. Most likely needs to have the A/C system charged up.

SOURCE: I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban. It has a dual air

Sounds like the blower motor resistor. It should be mounted close to the blower motor. The blower motor resistor may run around $50.00, you may need to replace the plug, dealer item, around $60-70. Shouldn't be $1000.

SOURCE: heater and air conditioner blower switch.

Check the resistor first. It may be bad. Should be under pass. side of the dash close to blower motor mounted in bottom of evap case. Remove it and try known good one first before going at the switch. If it works on high then the switch may be okay. Good luck.

Blower motor doesn't pump well even the fan switch on high

sounds like blower bearings are dried out and will eventually lock up the blower..sometimes you can spray wd40 in the blower bearings and it will work fine for a while.. also check vacuum controls to the baffle dors in the ductwork..may have some leaks there.. should hear a slight hissing if really bad..repost findings

Blower speed problem after replacing battery...

The blower speed shouldn't increase, as that switch only opens and closes the fresh air door. It sounds' like it increases, as the act of closing the fresh air door amplifies the sound of the fan inside the vehicle.

Blower on heat/a not working

So it works with a/c but doesn/t work with heat. Is that what your saying?
Or it blows cold air on heat selection?

If it blows but only blows cold air on heat selection
check out the following items:
temperature selector switch
blend door actuator and motor.

Here are a list of items to check out or have a shop inspect if it doesn't blow anything at all.
a) on/off switch
b) relay
c wiring
d) resistors
e) blower motor

Blower fan ramps up when you turn up the switch, however air seems choked off. Maybe damper is stuck? Where is it located?

It might also be your cabin filter most cars in the 2000 or newer range have one.If they get clogged or really dirty your air flow will be restricted recommend changing every 20,000 miles or so.

1995 GEO METRO BLOWER MOTER REPLACE

Yes, the speed control resistor is a possible culprit. There are other possibilities though. The motor itself might be wearing out. Bearings could be going bad and binding, or the motor itself could be. Usually when a speed control resistor goes, the particular speed setting that portion controls goes out completely, not just slows down. Most automotive blower motors have an independent resistor coil for each speed that you can select. If one of them goes, you lose that speed and keep the others. If you replace the resistor and continue to have a problem, you might want to remove the motor assembly completely and have it bench tested.
