Try changing your tranny fluid and in the torque converter. if that does not help check torque converter and clutch plates

2002 ford explorer sport trac , starts fine, runs good then about 30 min it starts to run rough, and idling poorly, not fuel or fuel filter

You need to check your plug wires for cracks and wear. The best way to know if they are bad is to run your engine at nightr and look for any time of blue arcing spark coming from any of the wires. I believe that replacing the wires will solve your problem.

My 2005 sport trac basicly chokes down and won't restart. After afew hours it cranks right up! Last time was one and a half years ago ! Until today.

Clogged catalitic converters can cause this. The engine will start and run for a bit, but as the engine tries to exhaust the gases they have no where to go. And this will shut th engine down. To check remove one of the 02 sensors in front of the converter. If it runs fine theres your problem. If the converters are clogged badly, your engine will run better, but maybe not as well as it should. the reason being is that the hole for the 02 sensor is not big enough to vent all the exhaust.
