You need to take off the ignition wire to allow air to dry the ends of the wire. If that doesn't try replacing the wire. If that doesn't work, you may have to replace the spark plug because it may have cracked during restart. The only other thing left to do is replace the rotor button and distributer cap. If water gets into the cap, it will crack and won't let the car start.

SOURCE: My check engine light is on and it often shakes

Bring it in so that the check engine light will be off and it will run smoother.

SOURCE: service engine code P0302 2000 nissan sentra

I would check that spark plug, and have that coil checked or replaced. Also check for any vacuum hose leaks in the area of the cylinder.

SOURCE: 2003 nissan altima airbag blinking

On most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for @6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident. Most systems can only be diagnosed using a scanner designed for the airbag system, however some use flash codes to indicate the problem. The scanners at Auto Zone or the ones that sell for @ $50 will not access the airbag system, only the engine systems (check engine light).
This website gives you the procedure for diagnosing and resetting some systems without a scanner. Some vehicle manufacturers accommodate that (like Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Infinity, Honda, Acura, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda & Mercury) and some require a scan tool. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/

Engine checks lights on,blink 6 times then shut off, what seems to be the problem?

DIYer? If not, time to take by a competent service shop, or the dealer. The 6 blink probably is an error code for a major problem. When did you last service the car according to MFG instructions? Check all fluids.

I have a 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE About a week ago the check engine light came on, it started running rough, especially at idle. Computer diagnostic results showed missfire in cylinder 6. I replaced...

i would definately replace the coil. pretty certain that will solve your problem. do not drive with misfire or that can cause fruther damage such as catalyst failing, which is prety expensive.

2002 Nissan Sentra Check engine light diagnostics

There is a leak somewhere in the evaporative emission control system. The best way to test that is have a smoke test done on it to find out where the leak is. You'll have to call around to see if any repair shops have a smoke machine, or call a dealer.

Outside temperature display on rear view mirror

Here are the instructions to reset flashing airbag light, the instructions are for an Armada but I believe it will work on all Nissan models of this period. It wont hurt to give it a try. If that doesn't work you may have a problem that should be looked at by your local Dealer.

>>>
1. Turn the key from off to on.

2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off instantly.

3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.

6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.

Check engine light is staying on

55 No Malfunctions -I have a dodge shadow that puts this code out just to let you know that the computer is working correctly.  It is more of a self test code.  If you didn't get this code, then there was something wrong with the self diagnostics.

Check engine light is blinking

Hi when the engine management light comes on the car goes into what you call " limp mode " designed to get the car to a safe place garage ect.. with restricted power, you need to have the car put on a diagnostic machine to determin the true problem.
Hope this helps
