SOURCE: at the drivers rear tire

If you mean they come a spot at the wheel--that is the caliper. Or, the spot where it changes from a steel line to a flexible line? That would be the simply, the brake flex hose.

Either way, do something rather quickly, brake fluid loss is potentially dangerous.

ANd yes, of course either can be fixed quite easily

Brakes go to floor

If the brake master cylinder is full with approved DOT 3 brake fluid and the vacuum line that attaches to the brake booster is in place and not leaking or disconnected at either end, check for leaking fluid on all 4 tires, if you find no fluid at the tires indicating a caliper is leaking then the problem is the master cylinder being bad.

Brake pedal goes down to floor. Putting brake fluid doesn't solve problem. Vehicle must coast to a complete stop.

First look for obvious leaks under the vehicle, especially the inside area of each wheel... If you see fluid, you have either a blown cylinder seal or a bad line (check the rubber hoses to the front and back brakes too) Repair the offending part and bleed the air out of the system... (remember to clean pads or shoes if they have fluid on them)... If you see no hint of leakage anywhere, then suspect the master cylinder... if you remove the master cylinder, check and make sure that it didn't leak fluid into the brake booster diaphragm (Brake fluid will destroy the booster)... as in any repair when you open the system (lose fluid), you will need to bleed out the air to restore function... hope this helps...;-)

Break Fluid Leaking, empties every three days

You should be able to look around each tire and see where it is coming from, let me know if any of them have brake fluid on them, if so it is a brake cylinder leaking, if the leak is somewhere else than I may can help you with that, oh and when you do find the problem I can probably save you some money on the repairs.

When I press on the breaks, I can hear what sounds like air from inside the dash and the pedal goes to the floor. Master cyl seems to be working ok.

check for brake fluid you must be losing it some where, did you recently had something done with the brakes you might have air in the lines and have to bleed the system,if you didnt check for leaks looking at the back of the tires to see if thers brakefluid on the tires or on the ground,if this helps please vote me a fix ya
