More than likely a problem with the circuit board that's inside the wind-shield wiper motor. Apparently the solder cracks and breaks the connection. If If so,,,,, then you should be able to re-solder the board.

Wipers not working intermitently

This is a very typical GM problem that is usually caused by a faulty logic module on the side of the wiper motor. You can pick up a replacement module at any parts store and easily replace it, but you will have to remove the wipers and the air intake panel at the windshield to get at the motor. Be sure to clean and lubricate the electrical contact land rings with dielectric grease once you have the old module off. If that doesn't work, the switch at the steering column is the problem and replacing that is a whole different issue. Because of difficulty and airbag safety issues, messing with the steering column should be left to an authorized mechanic.

The intermittent function for the wipers has a variable resistor that controls the timing of the wipers in this mode. Replacement of the wiper switch will resolve this issue. Over time they do become worn, and do not make contact during the entire wiper cycle.

Check windshield wiper motor module to make sure connection is fully snapped in to place and wires are not bent or loose. New module is around $35.

On your windshield wiper motor were the elctrical connector plugs in there is a black plate with 3 torx screws, remove these screws and unplug the electrical connector and pull out the circuit board looking thing. this is your wiper module replace it. this is a very common problem with GM vehicles.

Windshield wipers work intermittentaly

You may have a loose connection or more than likely a worn switch. This is probably a unitzed switch for the wipers and turn signals

Which fuse controls the windshield wipers??

There is no separate fuse for intermittant. You have a wiper fuse, and that's all. If that part has stopped , you have a probel with the switch, or the circuit board for your wiper motor.
