According to my source, code 1899 is a problem with the governor pressure sensor. But 4 digit codes are model specific, so you may be right about the selector switch. If the switch tests out to be faulty, it would need to be replaced and the code erased.
P1193 is an intake air temp code, there is a sensor somewhere within the filter box or the intake tube (large rubber tube running to the intake) with a plug that normally has two wires. You can remove the sensor and clean it (this will sometimes fix the problem) or replace it. You should reset the codes to verify the fix.
