SOURCE: 1997 town & country stalls intermittently. ...

I had the same problem in the past with the lights. I repaired it by removing the the dash panel and re-soldering the pins where the harness plugs into. I am currently having the stall issue. in my research it seems to be the crank shaft sensor. I was told that the crank shaft sensor and the cam sensor work together and have decided to change them both along with the gas filter.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. I have seen this before and it is fairly common on these vehicles. It is usually a malfunction with the dash cluster instrument lighting. In conclussion, it will appear when nothing is wrong. Since there are no codes stored and everything works correct, you may just want to deal with it instead of paying out hundreds of dollars. At least once, a client bought a new cluster and the next day, the light was back on. It could be an issue with your pcm also, since the pcm controls the interior lights. It will take testing to know the sure cause of the light that will cost money. In my opinion, since there is no codes and the system works perfectly, I wouldn't worry about it. I would double-check everything first to make sure everything has been fixed correct first. Check all break components. It is worth getting it tested because breaking issues may occur. It may be a sensor. But it can also be a false impulse also.

SOURCE: brake pad replacement on 2008

Just changed the brakes on my 2008 Town & Country. You need a rear disc brake caliper tool. The piston does not compress, it turns clockwise with the tool. You can get the tool from Auto Zone and when you return the tool, you get your money back.

Why is brake and ABS light on in town & country 2008

Highly likely that your vehicle may not stop next time you press on the brake pedal. Either the master cylinder is failing, the ABS module is failing, your brake servo is failing, or you have lost a significant amount of brake fluid due to a leak. IT IS URGENT THAT YOU GET THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP IMMEDIATELY TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IT WHEN THOSE LIGHTS ARE ILLUMINATED SIMULTANEOUSLY.

My abs, brake, esp/bas, and esp/tcs lights all came on at once. Every time I start the car they are off and about thirty seconds into motion they all come on. Brakes seem to be functioning fine. ...

Most likely ou have speed sensor that Is not giving the correct info. At startup the abs does a self check and since the light stays off until you drive it there is no issue with the systems integrity. The light comes on after you start to move because the system is not seeing the info it should be seeing. Your best course of action is to have the abs system scanned for trouble codes. This will help narrow the possibilities. Once you have the codes post them here.

Town and country 2001 while driving on the freeway my abs light turn on

Okey

You have never had any type of check light
on the dash of any vehicle before?

ABS --- is the electrical part of your braking
system. No different than any other dash light

Still an OBD2 System Malfunction, that has to
be diagnosed & repaired

You gave us no codes & even then, there could
be several possible causes for the light coming on

A Wheel Speed Sensor is a fairly common item
that fails

Hi...i have a 2005 chrysler town & country sto & go LX 3.3L V-6 mini van....for some reason the brakes r acting up....sometimes they work sometimes the pedal goes all the way to the floor....master...

its sounds like it could be a bad master cylinder with an internal leak.it could also be a problem with the abs hydraulic module that for some reason is bypassing brake fluid within the unit itself.these problems won`t neccessarily turn on the dash light or activate the abs light.

I have a 2008 chrysler town and country van. It has a warning light with a ! in the middle. In the upper left corner. What does that mean? Thanks, Brandi

that sholud be a brake light due to a parking brake engaged or not fully released it can also com on if there is a abs malfuntion or brake fluid is low. You need to get your brakes checked. If fluid is not low brakes are good and parking brake is not on you may need a brake switch.
