Now you have to find out why the fan motor was fried. The will usually last a very long time. Also your low coolant light and the fan not coming on are totally unrelated.
If the low coolant light comes on and its not low on coolant, then the float inside the tank is sticking. Remove the resevoir tank and clean it our with hot water and dish soap. 9 times out of 10 this frees up the float and you're good to go.
Also Saturn S-Series with the SOHC have head problems, DOHC's usually dont unless they're abused.
Blown head gasket
do you have any more questions
the fan will not come on idf the head gasket is leaking, why? because the system gets gas in it and that insulates the fan sensor from the coolant heat and wa la no fan operation, been doing this a lifetime don't tell me this doesn't happen, esp on this car, they are famous for leaking head gaskets.

As the post explained, it has something to do with the fan motor. I'm not an expert but I do know I do not have a blown head gasket.
For your information I did fix it myself. It was a 25.00 dollar fan motor. You guys are all the same always finding the most expensive problem then working your way back to the more minor problems. This time that didn't work. As for you, your rating stays as it should. Not worth a penny!
