SOURCE: the check engine light is coming on my 99 buick la sabre

Take it to a local auto parts store (Autozone, Murray's, Checkers, Napa) have them hook up a scan tool to get the diagnostic codes, write them down and post them here so we can further assist you. There are many reasons that can cause the check engine light to come on.

SOURCE: how to replace left front

Headlight Removal & Installation Bulb Replacement CAUTION
Improper handling of a halogen bulb could cause the bulb to shatter into flying glass fragments due to the bulbs containing gas under pressure. Always wear eye protection, only handle the bulb by its base, keep dirt and moisture off the bulb, do not install the bulb with power at the socket, and keep them away from children.

To Remove:

  1. Turn off power to the headlamps.
  2. Remove the headlamp assembly.
  3. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and remove from the headlamp assembly.
  4. Remove the bulb from the socket.
To Install:
NOTE: If oil from your skin or anything damp comes in contact with the bulb, clean the bulb with alcohol or a suitable degreaser and wipe the bulb dry. Too prevent the bulb from exploding when the bulb is turned on.
  1. Install the bulb into the socket.
  2. Install the bulb into the headlamp assembly and turn clockwise to lock into place.
  3. Install the headlamp assembly.
Headlight Assembly To Remove:
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Open the hood.
  3. Remove the fasteners (D) that retain the headlamp assembly (C) to the headlamp bracket (A).
  4. Pull the headlamp assembly (C) forward in order to disengage the rear retaining pin (B), and disconnect the electrical connector from the forward lamp harness.
  5. Remove the headlamp assembly from the vehicle. NOTE: Avoid touching the bulb or letting the bulb come in contact with anything damp. Oil from your skin or moisture on the bulb can cause the bulb to explode when the bulb is turned on. If either comes in contact with the bulb, clean the bulb with alcohol or a suitable degreaser and wipe the bulb dry.
  6. Remove the bulbs from the headlamp assembly by turning them counterclockwise.
To Install:
  1. Install the bulbs into the headlamp assembly and turn them clockwise to lock in place.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the forward lamp harness.
  3. Install the headlamp assembly (C) into the vehicle by pushing rearward in order to engage the rear retaining pin (B).
  4. Install the fasteners (D) that retain the headlamp assembly (C) to the headlamp bracket (A).
  5. Close the hood.

SOURCE: 1996 buick le sabre code P0102A stalling engine

Basically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. A more technical description would be that the MAF circuit had lower than expected voltage (air flow). Other MAF sensor circuit DTC trouble codes are P0100, P0101, P0103, and P0104.

Symptoms: You will likely not notice any serious drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a general decrease in power or sluggishness.

Causes: A code P0102 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad
The MAF may be dirty or otherwise contaminated (Note: if you use a reusable oiled air filter, be careful not to apply too much oil or that can contaminate the MAF).
The MAF sensor may be faulty
The vehicle computer may be faulty (very rare)

Possible Solutions: The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:
Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor.
Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor.
Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information)
Replace the MAF sensor.

Where is the fuel pump kill switch located in a 1998 Buick le sabre custom or the reset procedure

When you turn the key on the fuel pump should pump for about five to ten seconds. Do this a few times and it should start. Even with a full tank the pump will do this to pressurize the system. If the pump keeps running it's not picking up fuel. Have a friend listen at the gas cap with the cap removed for the pump to cycle. If it doesn't work there is a fitting on the fuel rail that looks like a valve on a tire. Take the cap off of it and use a small screwdriver to push the center in and see if there is pressure in the fuel rail. Have the key on and wear safety glasses. You should get a squirt of fuel out of it. If you have no pressure there the pump could be bad or the filter plugged. If there is pressure you have other problems. There is no shut off switch. Only fuses and a fuel pump relay. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-samsung&source=android-browser&ei=_skGWP71NoOFmwGwvp-YCw&q=1998+buick+lesabre+fuel+pump+switch+location&oq=+1998+Buick+le+sabre+fuel+pump+switch+location&gs_l=mobile-gws-serp.1.0.30i10k1.20246.66235.0.71699.52.41.2.0.0.0.354.6560.4j26j8j2.40.0....0...1.1.64.mobile-gws-serp..17.35.5853...0i10k1j0i7i10i30k1j0i13k1j33i21k1j33i160k1.pAvwOOuWlKU#imgrc=99du9RTFFGCYhM%3A&scso=uid_WAbKSQAIdFcKJtQCGQCAqw_8:0

How do i bypass the heater core on a 97 buick le sabre

Ok to eliminate having heat in your vehicle and/or replacing a damaged heater core unhook both the 5/8" id hoses going to your heater core then remove them and connect a hose between both outlets to loop them. Newer replacment water pumps have interchangeable outlet fittings which can be removed and plugged with a pipe or drain plug if applicable the same as with your water neck fitting. Connecting the 2 together is a much easier fix
