The crank position sensor is on the rear left-hand side(drivers side) of the engine. See image below.



To replace follow steps outlined below.

1. Disconnect crank position sensor harness.
2. Loosen and remove the bolt securing the sensor.
3. Remove the sensor.

To install revers process.

Check your camshaft position sensor,knock sensor,cranck sensor

crank position sensor look behind and just above the starter, going into the block. coolant sensor look to the right side of the head, should be two little sensors screwed in there.

are they the same engines? and i mean exactly the same? if the arent the same maybe check and look at the starter ring gear and count the teeth...also check the camshaft sprocket...is it different?

did you try the cranck sensor and if you have access to a noid light test for injector pulse if none suspect faulty cranck sensor

that would probably be the infamous cam position sensor..the good news is they are a lot cheaper than they used to be....

mmm sounds like a cranck shaft sensor or the idle sensor has gone on it it may be dirt on the sensor hope i have helped you

it should be above the bottom pulley on your engine just above the crankshaft
