Hello shalom570,

The crank position sensor is on the rear left-hand side(drivers side) of the engine. See image below.

To replace follow steps outlined below.

1. Disconnect crank position sensor harness.
2. Loosen and remove the bolt securing the sensor.
3. Remove the sensor.

To install revers process.

Where does the cranck shift postion sensor and coolant sensor go, for a 1996 sc2 saturn

crank position sensor look behind and just above the starter, going into the block. coolant sensor look to the right side of the head, should be two little sensors screwed in there.

mmm sounds like a cranck shaft sensor or the idle sensor has gone on it it may be dirt on the sensor hope i have helped you

it should be above the bottom pulley on your engine just above the crankshaft
