SOURCE: I need to remove the door panel on my 2004 Avalanche

There are plastic clips that hold the door panel inplace .. First look for any hidden screws near the door handle . there might be a little plastic cover that you need to remove with a small screw driver to find the screws.. look under the handle also to see if there are any hidden screws . next take a flat blade screw driver and start at the bottom corner and try gently prying the door panel off . try to stay close to the plastic clips not to damage them by prying real hard .. once you have snapped them loose all the way around .. lift up on the door panel to remove it from around the window lip and out it should come.. holler if you have any problems.. usually The mirrors on the chevys are up above the panel and there is a triangle plastic cover over it on the inside .. it will pry off also gently and there are 3 nuts there that need to be removed .. use caution these fall behind the door panel ... holler if you need more. You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them.

SOURCE: removing door panel drivers side to connect mirror wiring behind this panel

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

I need to replace the driver side mirror on a 2003 Toyota sienna CE. Could you email me the installation instructions? Any help would be very much appreciated. [email protected] Thanks!

Hi Rebecca, Remove the back cover of the interior release handle by removing the single screw and then sliding it away. Remove the deep screws inserted below the arm rest and then carefully lift the switch cluster from the panel and disconnect it at the connection plug by pressing the locking mechanism downwards. The door panel is released from the lower part of the door by inserting one of your pastry knives from your kitchen between the panel and the door frame and gently pulling it towards you until you hear the studs release. Slide the panel upwards and and lift it away from the door. Lever out the triangular cover of the mirror. You will see the electrical cables and the connection sockets in the door frame which should be disconnected Behind the triangular cover are two bolts which hold the mirror. these should be removed and the mirror will come off. fitting is the opposite to disassembly. Be careful to align the studs of the door panel before pressing the panel into its fittings. Regards John

Is there a step by step instruction on how to change the left side mirror on my Mitsubishi Endeavor 04 ? thank you

Maybe try alldata.com, because on my online resource for the 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor, there is no information on body work.

One could get the part from the salvage yard and look for the bolts like one would do for a GM car

One may have to remove some plastic parts to get at the fasteners.

Also, if there are cables for moving the mirror from the inside, then that should be considered, as well.

Also, if the mirror is heated, that should be considered.

(I got this off of Wiki Answers)
Very easily. Open the door, find two rubber circular boots right behind the
mirror. Take them off to expose the 2 bolts that hold the mirror on. Take the
bolts out and unplug the wire. Reverse these steps to install, hole this
helps...

There are three small bolts holding the driver's side mirror on. Two can be
accessed by opening door and removing the two circular rubber boots seen on the
upper end of the door . To access the third bolt you will need to remove the
door panel. you will need a forked driver to help remove the door panel. It can
be bought at any auto parts store. It has a flat Y shaped head that can be
inserted along the lateral and bottom edge of the door panel to pop it way from
the door frame. There are three screws holding the door panel on. Two under the
door handle and one behind the door latch. Then the door lifts up and off. Make
sure you have the window down before you take the panel off because you cannot
access the third bolt unless it is. You will have to unplug the electrical
connects that power the controls on the door handle to completely remove the
door panel. After you remove the panel there will be a hole in the upper right
hand door frame, possibly covered by a black patch. Beneath this is the third
bolt. you will also need to disconnect the light from inside the door frame
before you will be able pull the mirror off. There is a large rubber boot oval
shaped that you can pull out and you will see the electrical connection for the
mirror inside the hole on the right.

Good luck on this repair.

I need to know the distance that the drivers side mirror protrudes from the curvature of the door? and also if the outside drivers mirror is molded plastic into the frame of the car?

The outside mirrors attach to the door frame using 3 nuts that attach to studs that are part of the mirror. You can access the attachments by opening the door and removing the triangular shaped plastic trim piece, removing a piece of foam insulation and then you can see the three nuts to remove.

How do remove drivers side door panel

First you need to remove the door handle and window crank by pushing back the ring and releasing the handles. Also the arm rest will have screws into the steel door frame that must be removed. The panel itself has plastic snaps that are pushed into holes in the doors steel frame. The trick is to slide a pry bar or even two is better, one on ether side of the clip and force the pin out. You need to be patent and do one at a time. The door panels are made of a less than hard strong material and will brake apart easily especially if they are older. The clips go all the way around the lower three sides and the top will lift off the sill.

Want to repair the drivers side view mirror. How do I remove the speaker frame that is on the inside across from the mirror?

It was really not hard at all. First you have to remove two phillips head screws from behind the door handle and four more from around the outer surface of the door panel. Then I took a flat nail remover bar (very handy when you have nails driven into wood that you want to remove) and slipped it between the bottom edges of the door panel and located/popped aloose the securing plastic inserts around the outer edges. Then with gentle force lifted the door panel from the bottom upward to pop aloose the upper inserts. Then you have to gently lift up the left upper portion nearest the window (which should be lowered) that has the door lock plunger comming through it, from the door frame. When this is done, the one screw that secures the speaker frame is exposed. Once the screw is removed the speaker frame will slide to the left and off of the door thereby exposing the four mirror securing nuts. One of the nuts is located behind a round piece of glued on clear plastic. Once the mirror is removed and repaired/replaced just reverse the process above to reattach the speaker frame and door panel. Care needs to be taken when getting the door lock plunger and door handle reinserted into the door panel then carefully locating the plastic insert tips with the holes in the door frame. You can gently shove the inserts into their respective holes with the heel of your hand or fist and reattach with the six screws.

2001 Mercury Sable Drivers side view mirror removal

No you do not, there will be a small plastic cover over the door mounted tweeter.

Squeeze it with your fingers and you should be able to pop it right off.

There are two screws on the speaker and the others should be visible on removal of the speaker itself.

I suggest you bring a soldering iron or a pair of wire cutters because the speaker wiring is soldered on the speaker and the speaker will not fall back through the speaker frame.
