You can't bypass anti theft systems especially on a high end vehicle like a Freelander. My mother worked at Land Rover in Solihull for 19 years and put miles on the Freelander, the 'Rover J Car) as a test vehicle. Anyway, I digress.
The Anti theft system is run by two computers (ECM and BCM), the anti theft module and lots of sensors. You have to fix the issue, not find a way around it. You need an auto electrician. A pro grade scan tool computer can interrogate all the electronics and the computer networks that join everything together.
If the vehicle starts an drives, even at 40 to 50 miles per hour the anti-theft system has nothing to do with this. The PATS anti-theft system on that vehicle disables the starter from working to deterrer vehicle theft, that's it.
overdrive light blinks ?? you have a transmission problem with the electronics .With over drive light blinking codes are stored in the computer . Need to hook up a professional grade scan tool an check for codes . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop that knows what it's doing.
the case ,one transistor have overheat inside the cd it;s burn then disconnect and mult all wire and socket in this case try disconnect all socket from cd then try seperate all mult wire from eatch follow the wiring loam until make sure no mult together . check fuse replace pasted one then check , the cd shold be repair by electronic shop.
try another key first, if not some locksmiths have the computers to reprogram. call dealer tellem they just programed and that the car wont star again, good luck!
Usually if it is the anti theft system it should not start with a boost, I would suggest first check the basics have the altenator tested with a voltmeter the volts should read 13.5 to 14.5 if not you probbably have a bad altenator, loose belt, or bad or loose battery connections. Since the battery went completly dead I would suggest having it recharged and tested.
