2.4L Engine automatic Transmission. What I have done so far. All test done with battery at full charge! Replaced Cam sensor with a brand new sensor 2 times Replaced Crank sensor with a brand new sensor 2 times Replaced CPU with 3 different ones from a junkyard 1 of them came from a wrecked vehicle so I know it was working, Tested for power at the coil pack Green and orange wire receives power for a few seconds when the ignition is turned on, also receives constant power while engine is cranking! Tested blue/tan wire and black/grey wires at coil pack and found NO GROUND PULSE!! Same test done at Injectors with the same color wires and the same result, no ground pulses! Does this car have anything else that causes it not to send the ground pulses, some wired safety switch or something? Any other ideas for testing? Specialty Tools available to me: 12V light circuit tester, Multi-meter ( will need to tell me how to use it, I only ever used it for finding dc voltage to trace a power drain on a different car) Solust Ultra Snap on Scan Tool All normal tools in the average garage.
SOURCE: Engine turns over but wont start
Check the cam sensor and crankshaft sensor. If either of these are defective the engine will not start or may start intermittenly.

we get remans bad out of the box......... good luck
SOURCE: car has no spark or injector pulse(new ecm, crank sensor)
Check the fuse for the injectors, some vehicles have the injectors and coil running on the same circut, at the same time check the fuse for the ignition.
SOURCE: 94 dakota 5.2 - where is ''roll over'' sensor located on vehicle?
un-plug the ecm " computer module " it should be under the hood by the passengers side on top of the fender.
it's a box with three connectors to it.
un-plug them all three for 5 min or so.
and plug them back up.
see if that helps to start it.
i had a 96 and i replaced everything and still will stall or have problems starting it up.
finally i un-plugged the computer and it will run fine for 15 or even a month without any issue, so my conclusion was that the ecm was bad.
