Why does my air conditioner blow out hot air when stopped or when the day is hot out even if we are driving? I've already had the A/C tested and recharged leask were fix but nothing was found wrong>
Maybe your heater is working at the same time. An open heater valve can cause this. Maybe there is a leak in the vacuum that pull the heater valve diaphram close.

well the damper doors are failing.
ON ANY CAR THERE ARE 4 OR MORE DAMPERS.
THE SERVICE MANUAL COVER THEM
AND THE TESTS.
FUSES GOOD FIRST, SCAN pcm 2ND.
In said manual it tells me and have done this vast times.
I look at each damper driver motor actuator and then test all HVAC modes to make sure all damper door axles (hinges) move the full range, if not we fix that. motor drive or what every it takes to do so.
nobody can guess what you can do, skills , tools ,meters etc.
nobody. !! ever. 99.9% never even try,
all I can say is RTM chapter HVAC
most do and then walk away, 1miliion times a day.
mode doors (damper valves)
blend door. even 2 for driver and 1 shot gun seat.(and sure rear)
mode door,
Recirc/fresh air door.
and more if complex climate control version not manual .
lots of tests and is complex. air distribution is tricky.
I'd fix heat first, this is 10x more simple so fix that and AC comes on the shirt tails
check all fuse fires
then scan the PCm for DTC errors HVAC< I bet there are.
what stops you from scanning?
If you have a viscous fan hub have it replaced as it is not working. The problem you have is that the engine is not driving the fan to draw air through the radiator when idling so the engine overheats . When moving the air flow from driving cools the radiator and so the temp goes back down. If you have electric fans have the codes read to find the fault or check why the electric fans are not working.
check the coolant pressure on the LOW pressure service port (where you put freon in). it sounds like your a/c was overcharged, and if so, you probably need another new compressor AND a new condensor. they sell gauges for checking this at autozone for 10-20 bucks each.......
Check the air conditioner fuse and replace as necessary.
Air conditioner system discharged.
Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC
certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment.
Repair as necessary.
Air conditioner low pressure switch defective. Replace switch.
Air conditioner fan resistor pack defective. Replace resistor pack.
Loose connection, broken wiring or
defective air conditioner relay in air conditioning electrical
circuit. Repair wiring or replace relay as necessary.
there can be a problem to air conditioner of the car . I guess you just have to go to the dealer or the toyota car shop for repair of the air conditioner . may be it's the fan of the air con that is not working properly. they can replace it .Because it is design to that car .
It sounds silly but there is a separate unit in your console that you can only turn off if you go in from back seats. You probably already did that, but if not try. You can not turn it off from any controls on front panel. If it doesn't work, I would think something is wrong with the switch. Open it up and look at wire connection from switch regulator. It also has a heat regulator on the console facing back seats? Mine does anyways.
