Have you checked the transmission fluid level? If it is full I would take it to a transmission shop as there may be a serious problem.

No, the modulator on a 4t60e only will adjust shift feel, not shift points. Does the trans not shift up or go it to neutral instead of 2nd? Does you speedo work? The pcm needs a speed input to shift the trans. You might have a bad VSS

SOURCE: transmission

There is a problem with the valve in the valve body of those transmissions. It might be too late to add a transmission lubricant since we use them prior to this event so this won't happen, but you might try Lube Guard Additive. If that doesn't work the transmission will need to be overhauled, but don't forget to use that additive after the job is done to keep this from happening in the future.

SOURCE: making loud roaring noise when driving. no warning

A loud "roaring" noise as you describe it could very likely be a bearing going out.

I have a G30 chevy van, out of the blue it decided not to shift out of 1st gear, trans fluid is clean and full, what could be the problem ?

There could be a number of possible reasons why your G30 Chevy van is not shifting out of 1st gear. Some potential causes could include:
  1. Faulty shift solenoids: The shift solenoids are responsible for controlling the flow of transmission fluid through the valve body, which in turn affects the shifting of gears. If the solenoids are not functioning properly, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  2. Low transmission fluid pressure: If the fluid pressure in the transmission is too low, it can prevent the gears from shifting properly.
  3. Faulty transmission control module: The transmission control module (TCM) is responsible for controlling the shifting of gears in an automatic transmission. If the TCM is faulty or has malfunctioned, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  4. Internal transmission issues: There could be internal issues within the transmission itself that are preventing it from shifting out of 1st gear. This could include worn gears or clutches, or other mechanical issues.
It is recommended to take your van to a qualified mechanic or transmission specialist to diagnose the issue and perform any necessary repairs.

Is the oil well the same for the transmission on a 2006 vtx1300

Yeah, both the same. You have a sun gear/ planetary gear problem. Basically a transmission rebuild.

When driving my 2000 Olds Bravada, it has a loud roar noise that sounds like when a semi truck is taking off before the gears are shifted. Transmission shifts easily into gears, just this loud roar noise...

If there's a loud roaring noise all the time, then your muffler probably has a hole in it, time to get a new full or partial exhaust pipe.

If the noise goes when it changes gear, then you've probably got a gear box or thrust bearing problem.

95 buick century transmission only has 1st gear and makes a rattle noise when in park. Reverse does not work at all. I can drive in 1st gear and once it shifts into 2nd, its like shifting into N. I will...

Check the fluid level and if it low top it up. However I doubt this will fix it. The bad news is that it sounds like your transmission has had it and the only solution is to get it repaired. Take it to a specialist transmission repairer for them to do a diagnosis, but expect bad news.

Roaring noise in front of 2003 olds alero gets louder as I accelerate, sounds like manual transmission needing to be shifted to next gear(this isn't a manual transmission

Have a shop look at it. It may just be a failed wheel bearing. The bearing will leave you stranded if it gets bad enough and cause more damage.

Transmission problem in E230 Benz

What you need to check is the transmission release bearing because if there is a clearance on the release bearing you will encounter this problem and also check the transmission oil.
