There should be a sector shaft screw with a lock nut on it, on top of the steering box. Loosen the lock nut and adjust by turning the sector shaft screw, some use a flat blade screwdriver, others use an allen wrench.

not real familiar, but the way for most foreign cars from the 80's are to remove the plastic from around the steering column, look around the area of the lock for a small pin to press in. with the key in the ON position, press in the pin and pull the ignition out, without the key, it gets complicated and the lock must be drilled out, then turned without the key.

no the car is too old for chrysler to have records for your key code you will have to buy a new lock set unless you can get the old locks out and have a locksmith cut keys

you will need to get a repaire manual for your car. then you will need a steering wheel and lock plate puller.(+ new lock key tumbler set) then use your new book to walk you though the changing of your ingnition. good luck.

1988 CADI Eldorado Biarritz, 4.5 liter v8: locked keys in car, called locksmith he put inflatable air bags in door to stretch 4 space to slide his crooked metal stick in and reach pull the handles, push electric door lock button/switch and manually but doors would not open. He than pulled the keys out of ignition and out the crack. Guess what, both doors sounded like they unlocked with the key but would not open. Is there some kind of anti theft protection that kicks in when you mess the doors and locks inside? Help, I have my keys but car doors will not open. Did stretching or forcing doors open a bit with these airbags possible cause damage?
