What causes our 2002 trailblazer to shut off every time we connect the wire to the air condition accummulator

Our air conditioning does not work...we noticed the wire to the air condition accumulator wasn't plugged in. when we plugged it in, it killed the engine. what could be the problem?

Problem could be the AC compressor going bad, or more likely, the throttle body needs to be cleaned thoroughly front back sides. Also, the PCM (computer) needs to be reset to allow it to relearn to the newly cleaned TB.

SOURCE: 2002 Tahoe Dropping Cylinder

A tune up will not cure the lean code, in fact an engine miss gives a rich code from the unburned fuel. I would suggest u verify u have no vacuum leaks, also clean the inside of the MAF sensor if so equipped and replaced the bank two O2 sensor, that is the passenger side sensor before the catalytic converter. If u have the money replace both right and left sensors, it is better to do them in pairs.

SOURCE: air conditioning light blinks, turns off

either the belt is loose or there is a compressor issue (either the clutch or the compressor is most likely shot)

I used these guys for my last one to have it shipped to me. If you haven't done this before it is not an easy DIY job (you need a vaccum pump, and gauges to do it correctly

SOURCE: air condition fan only works on high speed, no low speed

You have a bad blower motor resistor. This is located under the dash close to the blower motor itself

SOURCE: I have 03 chevy implala with 3.4. have check

What was the condition of the spark plug when replaced, was it indicating to a lean or a rich air fuel ratio. When is it misfiring?? during idle or while driving. The easy way to see if it's misfire during idle, disconnect the #2 wire from the plug and run the engine and see if there is any difference in the idle. If there is then the plug is firing and your getting the misfire during driving and that could be caused by a dirty fuel injector in cylinder #2 and may need it cleaned of replaced, but check the wire harness to the fuel injector it self be fore you go through all that. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help

I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ that has climate control and it just suddenly after getting fuel the drivers side air condition is working but the passenger side is full heat and cannot get it to

There is an actuator on that side. Pull the plug and put it back in, see if it works. If not, then you will need a wiring schematic to check for power and ground. If both are there, replace the actuator.

The blower on my a/c on 2002 chevy trailblazer only blows from the floor vents and the defroster vents but not the dashboard vents how can this be fixed. Also, it only works on 5

It sounds like you have two problems. First a question though; Is your heating and air conditioning control on the dash automatic (has two knobs that rotate and a display screen in the middle), or manual (has two levers that move up and down for driver/passenger temp and a separate fan knob and mode knob).

In response to the vents being stuck on defrost and floor, from experience i can say that the most likely cause is the mode actuator has failed. If your battery has recently gone dead, that could have brought the problem to the surface. When the battery has gone dead, the heating and air conditioning controls relearn all the positions of the actuators behind the dash when the vehicle has been re-started. If there is a position sensor failing (which happens quite often) in one of the actuators, the heating and air conditioning controls won't be able to learn the correct position of the actuator and (in your case) defaults to the defrost/floor position.

The only way to fix that would be to replace the actuator. I would like to know what type of heating and air conditioning controls you have (manual or automatic) before i say anything on the blower only working on 5.

Car shutting off when air condition is turn on causing it to stall

There is a switch that works the computer upon turning on the air conditioning. Upon turning the AC on the switch sends a signal to the computer to increase the RPM's to the engine so it will not die out

I have a service engine soon light and the code that appeared when check is 1481, do you know what this means?

Service Engine Soon (SES) or Check Engine Light On, DTC P0480, P0526/P1481/P1484 Set (Replace Engine Cooling Fan Wiring Harness) #05-06-02-012B - (10/19/2006)

Models:2004-2006 Buick Rainier
2002-2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, TrailBlazer EXT
2002-2006 GMC Envoy, Envoy XL,

Some customers may comment that the Service Engine Soon (SES) or Check Engine light is illuminated. This condition may be intermittent and upon investigation, the technician may find either DTC P0480, P0526, P1481 or P1484 set.

This condition may be caused by the cooling fan harness chaffing against the plastic guide it routes through. This contact may damage the insulation of the wires enclosed in that harness.

Replace the wire harness:
Part Number 89024920 Description Harness Assembly, Engine Cooling Fan Wiring

Good luck and keep me posed.

Check engine light on

I would think there is a problem with a sensor which my be an IAC Sensor. That makes the idle air control Hi or lo depending on what the motor is calling for. Have a shop take a computer reading and see what sensor is bad, As for the air There is a Air condition Amplifier and there may be a problem with that its not common but sounds like it may be the problem with your trailblazer. I sure hopes you out Flash68, If not get back to me and we can trouble shoot some more. Take care Bear001
