TO CHECK FLASHER TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF FRONT ASH TRAY,HAVE TO DROP PANEL DOWN AN THERE IS A FLASHER ON FUSE PANE DRIVER SIDE KICK PANEL OR UNDER THE HOOD NEAR BATTERY
Hey HotrodHarley,
I would pull out your hazzard switch and clean it real well. the signal, brake lights are connected to the hazzard switch and if it doesn't fully disengage you wont get the brake lights or the flashers to come on. It happened to me on my 89 Raider last year.
still sounds like the multi-function switch on the column. If you have old one, take apart and look for discolored coating on copper strips. clean with emery cloth and add di-electric grease.
I had to use a pair of vise grips on the receiver to get a good enough grip and pull the plug like heck. There is another flasher for the emergency flashers located to the right side of the glove box (glove box has to be removed) on the far side of the alarm box for "keys left in ignition"
