Vent solenoids there are 2 one on the intake manifold and one on top of the gas tank usually on top of the fuel pump module, the purge solenoid is located on or near the charcoal canister which is underneath the vehicle mounted by the gas tank

Vent solenoid is located by the fuel tank fill hose mounted to the box.

it is not on the fuel tank it is on a small box located near the fuel tank or in some cases it is located on the vent line going to the vent boox

Vent solenoids are usually located near the gas tank under the vehicle.

Trouble Code: P0499

NVLD Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit High

Possible Causes:


NVLD canister vent solenoid control circuit is open or is shorted to power.NVLD canister vent solenoid ground circuit is open.NVLD canister vent solenoid is damaged or it has failed.PCM has failed.Mr. Perkins,here are the causes for the code.

Purge is on top right of engine near fuel injector connector.
Vent is on crossmember rear of fuel tank

Did you check the block box connected to the vent solenoid? There's a hose that comes off it that appears to run nowhere, that's the fresh air vent. If it's blocked it won't allow air into the system which will set the trouble code. If that's clear, the vent solenoid itself is bad and needs to be replaced.

There are two. One is the Canister Vent Solenoid located above the gas tank and it has to be dropped to change. The other is the Vent Purge Valve and it is located under the hood to the right on the intake manifold close to your brake fluid reservoir.
