SOURCE: Chevrolet Caprice 1986 Cylinder Numbering

Looking at the engine your number 1 cylinder is the front right, number 2 is front left. The right side is 1-3-5-7, the left is 2-4-6-8. As for the number 1 on the distributor it is at the 5 o'clock position (there should be a number 1 or a long dash by that spark plug wire). Firing order is clockwise 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Location of engine # of 04 trailblazer ext with 5.3 v8

On the right side of the engine boss right ahead of the cylinder head if I remember correctly its under the alternator or what ever accessory is in the upper front corner of the engine. Passenger side/Right side. Hope this helps. Thats for the serial number, block cating number is on the block boss back where the oil pump drive is, right where the transmission bolts to the cylinder block at the top.

How many O2 sensors does a 2005 Chevy Cobalt base model 4 cylinder have

Oxygen sensors are identified by bank and sensor position. Sensor 1 is always pre catalytic converter, sensor two is always post catalytic converter. If an engine is a 4 or 6 cylinder engine the whole engine is considered bank 1, if an engine is a V6, V8, V10....., the engine bank containing cylinder number 1 (first cylinder in the firing order) is considered Bank 1, the other bank is considered Bank 2. Interpretation Oxygen sensor designation B2S1 refers to Bank 2 Sensor 1, it will be the sensor on the engine side of the catalytic converter in bank two. Check this link to determine the cylinder that contains cylinder number 1. http://www.wellsve.com/custom_searches/ds_firing.php Wells Search Parts Catalog

What are the numbers on the distributor cap

I assume the numbers you mean are (153624 or similar) 1 - 6 or 1 - 8. That refers to the cylinder the lead needs to go to. If it is a v8 you should see numbers on the intake manifold as well.

I have misfrie in cylinder 5 just want to no were it is

if its a v6 they have the cyliders numbered 246 on one side and 135 the other that would make it one of the rear cyl a v8 is 2468-1357 this will make it the third cylinder from the front on one side or the other. if you look on the inlet manifold it should have the cyl numbers cast onto it or check distributor cap or coilpack for numbers and follow the plug lead for that cyl the leads may be numbered as well

Chevy k1500 5.7 v8 wont start

Sounds like your timing is off when you placed the distributor back in or your spark plug wires are crossed. Start with the simple and check the spark plug wire firing order. 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Cylinder numbers drivers side 1-3-5-7 radiator to firewall. Cylinder numbers passenger side 2-4-6-8 radiator to firewall. Distributor cap #1 is at 5 O'clock and rotates clock wise. Once that is establish to be good then make sure the cylinder 1 is at TDC with the distributor rotor at the #1 position. Good luck and hope it's a crossed firing order.
