Your first problem is to find out why the intermittent no-power problem. Honestly, that sounds like a loose conmnection somewhere. check all your grounds for clean and tight conditions Also, battery connections and alternator connections. Double check your power distribution center for any loose wires or poor connections. Once you solve that problem, then you can diagnose the other problems with poor idle and temp. gauge.

I cant get any of my power windows to work, and I believe it's a fuse or breaker, but I can't figure out where it would be, because my fuse map doesn't even mention the power windows.

A wiring diagram is what you need, to
trouble shoot any electrical issues

Can not work on a system, you know nothing
about or have no reference material

Power windows: passenger window does not go up or down, checked the fuses under the steering wheel column on the driver side and the passenger side. switched the fuses from the side that doesn't work...

Switching Fuses proved nothing

Don't have a volt meter ?

Did you check out any of the window switches ?

If not the switch, then door panel comes off & you
test the motor

Power window driver's side doesn't work

Hello,
There are possibilities
1) the button for the window is bad 2) the motor to take the window up and down burnt 3) the wire went out of its track
take door panel apart and visually investigate.
Thanks

Radio windows and fuel read out stopped working

Check Fuse 2.3 (20 Amp). See electrical diagram below.

When it goes, it'll take out the audio and "Cluster and Panel Illumination."
(assuming your vehicle doesn't have an OEM Nav system - in which case fuse 2.3 would
supply power to the Nav system).

Fuse 2.3 is located in the CJB (Central Junction Box) - not the BJB (Battery Junction Box),
nor the AJB (Auxiliary Junction Box).

Also, check fuses F1.6 (60 Amp), and fuse F1.62 (30 Amp) in BJB (Battery Junction Box).
Also, check fuse F2.17 (15 Amp) and the "Accessory Delay Relay," both in the CJB (Central
Junction Box).

Here's the electrical diagram for 2005 Mercury Mountaineer Power Windows:
Note how fuses F1.6, F1.62, F2.17, and 'Accessory Delay Relay" will all
disable the power windows.

Power window drivers side doesn"t work

You will need to replace the window motor, it kinda like a starter motor when starting to go out will not have enough power, same with the window motor, brushes are worn. Also could blow a fuse, asking for to much voltage to work.
