SOURCE: The maintenance light blinks on and off 10 times

Maintenance is needed depending on the mileage, anything from an oil change to a major service. then the light can be reset.

SOURCE: 2002 Civic trouble code P1298

Usually what causes this code is a blown fuse from the wiring harness shorted on the underside of the intake manifold. It usually rubs on the brace or the bottom of the intake and shorts out a wire and blows a fuse. Do you have any other codes? If so post them. Check this first and tell us which fuse is blown in the fuse panel.

SOURCE: what the srs light means

Your SRS light is related to your "airbag system". You need to have it repaired because you have no airbags while that light is on.

How reset oil change light 2011 charger

Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change
indicator system. The "Oil Change Due" message will
flash in the EVIC display for approximately 10 seconds
after a single chime has sounded to indicate the next
scheduled oil change interval. The engine oil change
indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the
engine oil change interval may fluctuate dependent upon
your personal driving style.

Unless reset, this message will continue to display each
time you cycle the ignition to the ON/RUN position. To
turn off the message temporarily, press and release the
MENU button. To reset the oil change indicator system
(after performing the scheduled maintenance), perform
the following procedure:

1. Without pressing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE
START/STOP button and cycle the ignition to the ON/
RUN position (Do not start the engine.)

2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times
within 10 seconds.

3. Without pressing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE
START/STOP button once to return the ignition to the
OFF/LOCK position.

NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.

I have 2006 Toyota Crolla since three days the maint reqd light is on could you please advise me on this ? best regards Sultan from Afghanistan

The maintenance required light just means that some sort of scheduled maintenance needs to be done. Most of the time it just means you need an oil/filter change. Your owner's manual will list what maintenance is required based on your milage. This light is not the same as the Check Engine light which means that something is wrong with the emissions system.

It just means it time to change your oil. If it has been changed recently and you just want to shut your light off just hold down the trip reset button. While holding it down turn the ignition on but do not start the engine. keep holding the button down for approx. 10 secs. the light should start flashing and then go out. then release the trip reset button and turn the ignition off. and the light will be reset.

1998 honda accord maintance required light is on ,what does this mean

the maintenance light staying on means that you have passed your scheduled 7500 miles w/o an oil change etc... if you have just done the service, they should have reset it for you. on your particular model, up to the first 6000 miles the light will come on for around 2 seconds when the ignition is turned on, between 6000 and 7500 miles the same will happen, except after the ignition is on, the light flashes for 10 seconds. the third is what you have, a light that will not turn of after 7500 miles without service. to reset, with the ignition off, press and hold your reset button on the instrument panel and start your vehicle and keep the button held down for 10 seconds, it should turn off. I hope this takes care of it for you, Good Luck!
