Is there a fuel filter inside the fuel tank of a Toyota prado 2009 diesel

The service people at the shop said it needs to be replaced but I haven't herd of one inside of the tank before

i would guess 60 liters...

but the best way to know it is by really driving it with almost empty tank then make a full tank at the gas station and you would know the tank capacity...

SOURCE: stalling 22r 1983 toyota truck 22r fires up, runs great then cuts out. fuel bowl goes empty and i've replaced everything, pump, filters and cleaned tank

Check the steel fuel line under the intake manifold
had one that was almost completely clogged shut with ****
took a month of hunting but found this to be the problem

If a petrol engine then their is a gauze filter inside the fuel tank on the pick up pipe ,Unless you have been filling with fuel from cans you should never need to change a fuel filter ,diesel yes but petrol cars i have never changed a fuel filter on a modern car with a fibre glass tank ,the old metal tanks then yes but on modern cars ---?= never had a problem

Another cause of power loss in diesel engines is clogged fuel filter. Some vehicles have additional fuel filter INSIDE the fuel tank. I had my tank taken down and the inside filter cleaned and it fixed the problem. Some petrol stations and repair shops provide this service. If replacing the fuel filter in the engine compartment doesn't fix the problem, try this one. SOUNDS LIKE THE FIRST STAGES OF AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP FAILING. THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR THESE TYPES OF SYMPTOMS. THE LOW PRESSURE AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT RESULTS IN THE STALL, BUT AS LONG AS ITS UNDER DEMAND IT WILL FUNCTION OK UNTIL IT QQUITS. HAVE A PRESSURE CHECK DONE ON THE FUEL PUMP
