My guess is that this is not a car or truck, but rather a 4 wheeler. It may have a low oil shutoff, or bad coil that fails as it gets hot, but hen cools a bit and seems fine. Check for spark immediately as it fails.
sounds like a sensor issue on your transmission. it is going into failsafe mode for some reason because the computer is not receiving an input that it should. there may be a loose wiring connection on the tranny. the first thing i would do is check for loose wires. after that you may need one of several sensors. if the car works fine when this message does not appear i would not think the transmission itself is bad.
