Yours will be only OBD-1, and there are very very few places that can read OBD-1 anymore. Some Subaru dealers still have a Subaru "select monitor" scanner for OBD-1 cars. You also have to know which connector is the OBD-1 connector, it's among many connectors that are up under the drivers side dash . I hope this info helps.

Obd1 port location 87 ford Econoline 460 motor

Hi,

Please look at the bottom left corner of your steering wheel and the port should be around that location or on the bottom part of your dashboard. This would be around where your car's fuse box is located. You'll be able to plug in your obd widget at that port. Otherwise, you can get help at your local autozone to find the port location.

Thank you.

My OBD will not power up on a 2005 pontiac montana.

SP205 is a splice pack , taped to the wiring harness behide the dash near the OBD connector .

My OBD will not power up ? Code reader , scan tool ????? .Pin #16 at the OBD connector should have B+ voltage .This is what supply's B+ voltage to the scan tool / code reader . What makes you think you need a computer ? The computer doesn't supply B+ voltage to that OBD port ,.Do you know where the i/p fuse box is ? You want the CIGAR/DLC /APO FRT fuse 20amp . The other wires you mention above , don't mess with those . Those are the class 2 data bus wires .Screw with those and short one out , you will never get your vehicle started . Suggets you google GM class 2 serial data bus communications .

I can not get power to the obd port for my 1997 mitssubishi gallant. what do I check?

The OBD port runs off the lighter fuse.Get that fixed and you will probably have power to the port. The black fuses are diodes. One for the PCM, the other for the A/C.

How to read obd code suzuki aerio

There should be two OBD ports on this vehicle, one under the steering wheel the other is located by the computer unit under the hood. Attach an OBD reader or OBD II Reader (available to be borrowed from most car part stores) and read the code.

Can't find the obd port

Locate the OBD port in the driver-side foot well of the 2000 VW Jetta. The OBD port is to the left of the fuse panel. There is only one port large enough to accept the pinned connector of the OBD scan tool.

2003 ford explorer obd will not read

Check the fuse in the block in the a-frame on the left side of the dash. One of the fuses in there controls the link between the OBD port and the computer. If that fuse is blown, then you'll never get a connection through the OBD port.

Where is the OBD port located in a toyota hiace 1998 with 1KZ engine and is it a OBD II?

It is OBD II all cars world-wide were required to be OBD II by the 1997 model year. The port should be located under the dash on the drivers side of the car. It looks like a serial port on the back of a home computer.
