You lost the operators guide, sure....
and if in USA, that be hard the dealer died. so cant just drive there and buy one, huh? actually they are free, (its a big safety issue not having one)
add thrue dip stick hole,
check. on most cars is this.

  • run engine for 2 mins, (if in Siberia, drive 5 miles)
  • set hand brake and foot brake, and cycle the shifter true all gears.
  • as 3 times.
  • then when tranny at room temp 20C/ 72F
  • then check the dip level (cold = 20C)
  • it must show at cold, not hot. or low.
  • must be checked running engine.
  • and the fluid varies its volume by actual oil temperature.

RTM is best

alldata.com
or go to ebay and buy a used, operators guide, and WIN.

Where is fill to add automatic trans fluid to 2008 BMW 650i under the hood?

The automatic transmission fluid fill location on a 2008 BMW 650i can vary depending on the specific model and transmission type, but generally it is located under the hood and accessed through a dipstick tube.

To locate the dipstick tube for the automatic transmission fluid, follow these steps:

1. Open the hood of the vehicle and locate the transmission fluid dipstick. The dipstick handle is usually yellow, red, or black and is labeled with "ATF" or "trans."
2. Remove the dipstick from the tube and wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
3. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back into the tube and then remove it again. The fluid level on the dipstick should indicate the current level of transmission fluid.
4. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add automatic transmission fluid. To add fluid, remove the dipstick and use a funnel to pour the fluid into the dipstick tube. Be sure to use the correct type of transmission fluid specified in your owner's manual.
5. Check the fluid level again with the dipstick to make sure it is at the correct level. Add more fluid as needed.

Note: It is important to follow the recommended procedure for checking and adding transmission fluid to your BMW 650i to avoid overfilling the system, which can cause damage to the transmission. If you are unsure about the location of the dipstick or how to properly add fluid, consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic for assistance.

How do I check the transmission fluid?

In an automatic transmission, the dipstick should be located around back of the engine. You let the engine run to normal operating temp. and you check the fluid level, add as needed. You add through the dipstick tube with a funnel. Hope this helps.

2001 Passport with automatic has no dipstick for transmission, how do I check level and where do I add fluid

If you are looking to check the fluid levels and add transmission fluid you will need to first purchase a fluid pump at your local car repair store. Most run between $10 and 25$. For best results, run your car for a few minutes to bring the fluids to operating temperatures before attempting to add fluid. Be careful of hot surfaces and liquids.
It is difficult to check the level of fluid in the 2001 Honda passport because it lacks a dipstick. Instead, you will have to get underneath the car and check it at the Automatic Transmission fluid pan. This is located approximately below the center of the rear passengers seat on the underside of the car.
To check the fluid, remove the top most bolt on the automatic transmission fluid pan (most use a 3/4 inch socket). Use your finger or other object to see if the fluid level is at the same level as the drain plug. This can be difficult to do therefore it may be easier to add fluid until it is full to verify that you are at the correct levels.
To add fluid, remove the top most bolt on the automatic transmission fluid pan (most use a 3/4 inch socket). Using the fluid pump, slowly add transmission fluid until it starts to drip out. Replace the bolt. Take care not to over tighten the bolt.

If you want to be thorough, start your car and while your foot is on the brake, run your transmission through the gears slowly. Turn off your car. Remove the fill bolt and check the fluid level again. If it is not full see the previous steps. If your levels are OK, replace the bolt and you are good to go.

You add A/T transmission fluid at the same place you check it.
Same place you check the A/T fluid level. You add fluid at the same location.
