was a/c and compressor on when you tried to add freon or is compressor even coming on test to make sure compressor is coming on to add freon and if on check and inspect blend door for debris or actuator problem
Had the same problem with my 2002 Lincoln LS, it was a bad wheel speed sensor. The right front wheel bearing had some play in it, so I had the hub assembly replaced. The hub assembly comes with a new wheel speed sensor attached. After I replaced the hub assmbly with sensor, the ABS and Traction Control lights went off. No problem since!
it is located on the bottom of the vehicle. you must take the driver's side tire off and the inner skirt to get to it. you don't have to have a professional do it. go to your local auto parts store and get a kit. follow the directions and you will be fine.
The throttle position sensor may be wet. Several auto parts places like autozone or murrays or o'reillys will check this for free and test the computer in your vehicle for the check engine light.
