Where are the power window fuses on a 1989 buick century

Power window uses a circuit breaker, should be in fuse box. Metallic looking piece, hopefully your fuse box is labelled so you know which circuit breaker is which. The circuit breaker can be hot to the touch, so be aware. If a problem with power windows, it may trip the circuit breaker and none of your windows will work. After everything cools off, the circuit breaker may start working again.

Can not locate fuse for power windows in fuse box

Interior fuse box. It is a circuit breaker, not a fuse, #28, according to your owners manual. Not only check the circuit breaker, use a test lite and check for voltage on circuit breaker circuits. Sometimes, if faulty window motor, it may cause the circuit breaker to trip. I've seen some circuit breakers that were hot to the touch. After it cools off, it may reset?

The dashboard and climate controls comes on when the key turned to accessory for about 30 seconds then fades out sand nothing works. It runs fine, all external running running light work fine as well

Check your circuit breaker and relays (owner's manual will tell you which breaker or relay is for the dash lights). You may have a "circuit breaker" that shuts off when heated and then starts up again when cold. Replace the circuit breaker with another one from the car and see if the problem. I solved, you have a bad circuit breaker. If that's the case, replece the circuit breaker. If not, you have a bad ground or short in the system, so get the system checked.

Hey Strech thanks again there are six terminals on switch the red is on the one 10:00 and that is going to the circuit breaker underneath the dash the blue is on the one about 1:00 that also is going to...

The older Knuckleheads (and flatheads) and early Pans had 5 terminals, but later ones (like yours) had 6 terminals.

You keep saying the BLACK one goes back to the battery, but you haven't told me (I have only been ASSUMING) if it goes to the POSITIVE terminal of the battery, NOT the negative, correct?

IF the BLACK wire is in fact coming from the battery's POSITIVE side, hook it up to the 4 o'clock position - the jumper wire going from this terminal to the one at 1 o'clock IS NEEDED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY!

You stated, "the red is on the one 10:00 and that is going to the circuit breaker underneath the dash the blue is on the one about 1:00 that also is going to the circuit breaker"

Does this mean BOTH the RED and BLUE wires are going to the SAME circuit breaker?
If so, do they BOTH connect at the same circuit breaker terminal stud, or one to one stud (at one end of the circuit breaker), and the other to the other stud (at other end of circuit breaker)?

2000 Pontiac Grand Am, no power at circuit breaker for power windows

That circuit breaker only has power with the ignition switch in the "ON" position. It does not have power in the ACC, START or OFF positions. The ORANGE wire leading from the ignition switch Pin "C" delivers the power to the Right Instrument Panel Junction Block where the window circuit breaker is located.

I have a 1995 Buick Century that out of the blue last night, the dash lights, headlights, radio, and dome light quit working. Today I checked the fuses, unplugged the battery to reset the ECM, and fished...

There could be a timed circuit breaker:

Circuit Breakers The headlights are protected by a circuit breaker in the headlamp switch. If the circuit breaker trips, the headlights will either flash on and off, or stay off altogether. The circuit breaker rests automatically after the overload is removed. The windshield wipers are also protected by a circuit breaker. If the motor overheats, the circuit breaker will trip, remaining off until the motor cools or the overload is removed. One common cause of overheating is operation of the wipers in heavy snow. The circuit breakers for the power door locks and power windows are located in the fuse box.

Sunroof will not work

Power is supplied to the Power windows and sunroof through the power window circuit breaker. That circuit breaker is supplied power through the RAP (retained accessory power) Relay, the RAP relay also supplies power to the radio. The RAP relay is also fuse protected by the RAP fuse in the under hood fuse block. The RAP relay is energized by the BCM body control module.

The RAP relay is responsible for the radio and windows working after the igntion is turned off.

The first place to check would be the RAP fuse in the under hood fuse block and then the RAP relay in the Body fuse block.

A list of the BODY relay block located on the left side of the dash to the right of the interior fuse block is below:

(1) Park Lamp Relay (2) Courtesy Lamp Relay (3) Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Relay (4) Power Seats Circuit Breaker (5) Power Windows Circuit Breaker (6) Inadvertent Power Relay (7) Door Lock Relay (8) Headlamp Ground Relay (9) Driver Door Unlock Relay (10) Door Unlock Relay(1) Park Lamp Relay

Where can I find the fuse box on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler

There are 2 fuse locations on your jeep.
  1. Fuse Block, located under the left side of the instrument panel
  2. Power Distribution Center, located int the engine compartment at the right fender side shield.
FUSE AND CIRCUIT BREAKER PRECAUTIONS
When replacing a blown fuse or defective circuit breaker, it is important to use only a fuse or circuit breaker having the correct amperage rating. The use of a fuse or circuit breaker with a rating other than indicated may result in a dangerous electrical system overload. If a properly rated fuse or circuit breaker continues to blow or trip, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected.

1996 Chevy Blazer Circuit Breaker

You can use a fuse temporarily in place of the circuit breaker until you find a suitable place to purchase the circuit breaker. Advanced Auto parts has them in stock at most locations. If you don't have one of those nearby then try a Grainger catalog. Or even a Harbor Freight online. Hope this helps. Good luck
