96 stratus = 5W - 30

4 quarts without a filter change

4.5 quarts with a filter change .

SOURCE: Need to locate the oil sending unit for and 98

It's on the back side of the engine below the air filter and exhaust manifold.
You can gain access to it from under the vechicle.

I would have the oil pressure checked with a pressure gauge. Most likely you have low oil pressure. Not much you can do about this problem now. A used engine swap is probably the cheapest answer. Have it checked before buying an engine. Could have a bad wire or plug at the sending unit.

My 1996 doge stratus v6 has a remote starter on it when i turn it on it would not heat up that well until i drive the car the temp goes normal but the air is kind of cold not that cold but u could say...

if you havent already check your coolant level or have it checked the heat you feel is engine heat not enough coolant=no heat you might also notice if you rev the engine it blows warmer air. hard to tell without looking at the car

Where is the oil pressure sending unit on 2004 dodge stratus?

per the Haynes manual for the 95-05 Dodge Stratus on the 2.0L & 2.4L DOHC 4 cyl engines, the oil pressure sending unit is located at the left end of the rear side of the block. On 2.4L SOHC 4 cyl engines, the sending unit is located at the left end of the rear side of the block. On 2.5L & 3.0L V6 engines, the sending unit is located on the oil filter housing, on the front side of the block. On 2.7L V6 engines, the sending unit is located at the left end of the rear side of the block. To access it, remove the heat shield.
