This is a fuel pressure sensor, it connects to the fuel injector "rail", a fuel line and the thin black vacuum tube. AutoZone carries the part for about $50. It is fairly simple to replace with a flat screwdriver to pry it away from the rail and a couple of large wrenches to unscrew the bottom locking ring (after the piece is free from the engine). After that, the gaskets are preinstalled and it just snaps into place. Might want to pull the fuel pump fuse (mislabeled relay in the owners manual) first, just to be safe (still a small amount of fuel will leak out when removing).
